The last time these two teams played was in 2015 and the Buccaneers came out ahead 45-17.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles are coming off the Super Bowl and the expectations are sky high for what this team can accomplish this year.
They opened up the season against the Atlanta Falcons with Nick Foles under center and although the offense wasn’t great they did enough to come out ahead 18-12.
In this game it will be Nick Foles again under center as Carson Wentz is expected to be out for at least a few more weeks.
Foles needs to look at the tape of what happened in the first game and play a lot better than he did against the Atlanta Falcons. He threw for only 117 yards a touchdown and one interception.

On the defensive side of the ball the Eagles played a bend don’t break style of football. The Falcons were able to move the ball but once they got close to the red zone the Eagles really dug in and made life diffficult.
They are going to have their hand full this weekend against a Bucs offense that lit up the Saints and they need to try and force field goals again.
If this game becomes a shootout the Eagles are going to have some problems keeping up so they need the defense to step up big.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On the other side of this matchup is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who had one of the most shocking wins in the first week of the season.
They went in with Ryan Fitzpatrick to New Orleans and lit up their defense scoring 48 points on the way to a victory.
Fitzpatrick had a near perfect day throwing for 417 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He also got it done with his legs when he needed to.

On the defensive side of the ball there were some big concerns especially with the secondary. The Buccaneers did good against the run but they gave up 432 yards through the air.
In this game the Buccaneers need the secondary to be better and they can’t let Nick Foles settle in early on in this game.
Fitzpatrick also needs to show the first game wasn’t a fluke. No one expects him to throw for over 400 yards again in this game but he needs to take care of the ball and not turn the ball over.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Bucs ATS
This game is really a toss up for me but I think I am going to side with the team who had a more impressive first week.
NFL Free Week 2 Score Prediction: Bucs 27 – Eagles 24
I really don’t like the way Nick Foles is playing right now and I think Fitzpatrick will get the best of him and the Eagles.
This game will be pretty close but the Buccaneers will be able to close it out in the end and pull of the second upset in as many weeks.
