In this game on Thursday night football the Philadelphia Eagles make the trip to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Giants.
Both of these teams haven’t had the starts to the season they have hoped for, and this is a big game for both teams.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles come into this game with a 2-3 record and although they still have shown glimpses of the team that won the Super Bowl last year it’s clear there is still some issues that need to be worked out.
A big struggle the Eagles have had has been the play of the offense. In the last game against the Minnesota Vikings the final score said they had scored 21 points but most of those were in the 4th quarter.
They only scored two field goals in the first three quarters and by the time they got heated up in the 4th quarter, it was too late.

In three games Carson Wentz has thrown for 914 yards, five touchdowns and one interception. They should have an easier time against the Giants defense and Wentz needs to take advantage.
They can’t keep settling for field goals. Those things can keep games close, but if they want to pull away in this one, they need to score touchdowns.
New York Giants
On the other side of this matchup is the New York Giants who have all kinds of questions coming into this game and as the season goes on, the questions will probably number.
They are currently sitting with a 1-4 record and the team has so many issues, this season is already looking like it’s a lost cause.
In the last game against the Panthers they came back and looked to have the game won, but a late, long field goal did them in and they ended up losing 33-31.

Eli Manning has been a problem most of the year but on paper his stats don’t look terrible. He has thrown for 1381 yards, six touchdowns and three interceptions.
The Giants defense is going to give up some points so Manning is going to need to have a big game and not turn the ball over.
