Oakland’s young guns are getting there. They’ll try to put the brakes on a two game losing streak when they travel to San Diego to take on the Chargers.
Oakland is hanging with the best of them, but have suffered back-to-back tough defeats to the Bears and Broncos.

The Chargers gave Aaron Rodgers and the Packers all they could handle, but a failed goal to go situation with less than a minute left costed them a chance at a win.
Oakland
The Raiders have built their team around smart draft picks. Their QB in Derek Carr, and others like Amari Cooper, have given the Raiders some serious hope.
Oakland could have flipped their last two losses into wins, but a tough 16-10 loss to Denver and a 22-20 loss to Chicago have put them under .500 on the season.

Carr has not disappointed as he’s thrown for over 300 yards twice this season and has 8 touchdown passes over his last 4 contests. The most important thing for the 2nd year QB is that he’s thrown only 3 picks.
WR Amari Cooper has a pair of 100 yard games under his belt as well. Along side Cooper is Michael Crabtree. He’s gone for 318 yards with a touchdown thus far.
As far as the run game is concerned, Latavius Murray has 336 yards on the ground with a pair of touchdowns.
San Diego Chargers
Philip Rivers is trying to make himself an elite QB in the league. While there is no question the talent is there, finding ways to win games is his next step.
He had has chance to tie Aaron Rodgers and the undefeated Packers in Green Bay on Sunday and drove his Chargers inside the 10 yard line. Rivers failed to get anything done in the goal to go situation and the Chargers fell.

QB Philip Rivers, despite not getting the win, did set some ridiculous franchise records on Sunday. Rivers had 43 completions on 65 attempts and passed for 503 yards.
Rivers looks to be a bit more in stride with TE Antonio Gates back. Gates, who was suspended for the first four games, notched his 2nd straight 90 yard performance and has caught a pair of touchdowns in the process.
The Chargers will look to slow down Derek Carr and Raiders pass game as they allow just 218.8 pass yards per game defensively.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: San Diego ATS
The Chargers defense is one thing. They should be able to force the Raiders in some long third down situations on Sunday. Also, the stride Rivers is in is something. While he couldn’t pull out the big win last Sunday, a win over Oakland is right in his sights.
