The Miami Dolphins started the season undefeated. Now, the team is sitting at 4-4. Miami has had a ton of injuries this year, including starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
New York Jets
The New York Jets are hurting to score points this year. The team recently took a loss to the Chicago Bears, 24-10. The Jets offense was held in check. The team only had 207 total yards for the game, including 153 passing yards from Sam Darnold.
The Jets have now lost two in a row. The team is struggling to find a true leader on offense and defense. With the way the team has played the last two weeks, Sam Darnold is going to be the teams only answer offensively.

Aside from Darnold, the Jets are lucky to have three wins. In their last two losses, the Jets have lost by multiple possessions. The teams running game is virtually non existent making a lot more difficult for Darnold to throw the ball.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Jets are one of the worst in the NFL. They allowed 395 total yards against a below average Bears offense last week.
Miami Dolphins
The Miami Dolphins are on the same path they take every season. Start hot, then finish slow. The Dolphins are now 4-4, and were demolished last Thursday night against the Texans, 42-23. The Dolphins were without starting quarterback, Ryan Tannehill for the second straight game.
Without Tannehill at the helm, the Dolphins have been struggling on offense. Brock Osweilier has not been the answer at backup. He has lost two in a row as the Dolphins starter this season. His play has been erratic and leadership questionable.

One of the only bright spots for the Dolphins this season has been Kenyan Drake. Drake only had 12 carries last week against the Texans but did get one score.
Defensively, the Dolphins are struggling this year. They gave up 42 points last week on the road against the Texans. This week against the Jets, the Dolphins are going to have to play better.
