The Giants and Eagles clash in week three.
The Eagles are 1-0 in NFC East division and look to make it 2-0 this week at home against the Redskins.

The Giants are 0-1 in the NFC division and this matchup could be a must win game for them in week three.
The last time these division foes faced each other was in week 16 in Philadelphia. The Giants lost the game 24-19.
New York Giants
The New York Giants could be in trouble early this season. They lost their week one road opener to the Cowboys 19-3.
The Giants offense was without superstar wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. He was held out of the game with a high ankle sprain.
Eli Manning struggled to move the ball offensively. He went 29 of 38 with 220 yards passing no touchdowns and one interception. Not much of a week one coming out party for the veteran. Manning made his 200th consecutive start at quarterback for the Giants.
Manning didn’t get much help from his newly acquired receiver. Brandon Marshall was only targeted four times. He had one catch for 10 yards and no touchdowns in his Giants debut.
This week, expect Marshall to be on the same page as Manning. The run game should be better too. The Giants running backs combined for just 35 total rushing yards in the loss.

Defensively, the Giants looked just as bad as the offense. New York allowed 392 total yards of offense against the Cowboys. Dak Prescott passed for 268 yards and one touchdown in the win.
Ezekiel Elliot rushed for 104 yards on 24 carries and no scores. He averaged 4.3 yards per carry against the Giants. This could cause concern against the Eagles this week.
New York must figure out a way to be better on both sides of the ball this week. If not, they could be in for another division loss. The Giants don’t want to dig themselves a hole in the first weeks of the season.
Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles looked great in week one, beating division foe Washington, 30-17. Then things hit the fan in week two. Philadelphia traveled to face the Chiefs and had their butts handed to them. Losing, 27-20.
If it weren’t for a late game touchdown, the Eagles would have lost 13-27. Carson Wentz did all he could for the Eagles offense. He was 25 of 46 with 333 yards passing, two touchdowns and one interception. He even had four runs for 55 yard in the loss.
Zach Ertz and Alshon Jeffery (one TD) each had over 90 yards receiving, and Torry Smith chipped in with 66 yards as well.
The run game was nowhere to be found. LeGarrette Blount had no carries for no yards and veteran Darren Sproles has 10 carries for 48 yards. Take away Wentz’s four runs, and the Eagles on had 52 yards rushing by running backs in the game.

The Eagles looked confused last week against the Chiefs, but better defensively than in week one. The defense gave up 344 total yards of offense. 251 yards passing and one touchdown to Alex Smith while, Kareem Hunt rushed for 81 yards on 13 carries for two touchdowns.
No saying the defense in great, but much improved. Hopefully for the Eagles sake, Philadelphia can be better again in week three.
