In this game it’s a huge NFC showdown when the New Orleans Saints make the trip to US Bank Stadium to take on the Minnesota Vikings.
The last time these two teams played the Vikings advanced to the NFC Championship game on the Minneapolis Miracle.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints got a gift in their last game with Justin Tucker missing an extra point for the Baltimore Ravens which would have tied the game and they came out with a win.
For the Saints this team is the same identity that it has been for the last few years, it’s the Drew Brees show showing off all his weapons.
Brees might be getting older but his game doesn’t seem to be taking a hit. So far this season he has thrown for 1658 yards, 11 touchdowns and zero interceptions.
On the defensive side of the ball they struggled to start the year but they have been playing a lot better as of late.

In this game that secondary is going to be really tested and they need to find a way to slow down Diggs and Thielen.
They aren’t going to stop them, but if they can slow them down that could go a long ways in winning a big game on the road.
Minnesota Vikings
On the other side of this matchup is the Minnesota Vikings who had a lot of questions just a few weeks ago but they seem to have it figured out now.
They have won three games in a row and covered two of the spreads. In the other game it was a push against the Arizona Cardinals.
For the Vikings the defense is still good, but the offense led by Kirk Cousins, Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs has come up big.
So far this season Thielen has 67 receptions for 822 yards and five touchdowns. He is the first player ever to start the season with seven straight games with 100 receiving yards.

In this game the defense needs to play well. If the defense struggles early and makes this game a shootout they will still have a chance but it’s not how they want this game to play out.
They need to pressure Brees in hopes that they can come out with a big victory.
