NFL Week 1 has come and go as Week 2 is right around the corner as it will feature the first home opener for the Los Angeles Chargers against the Miami Dolphins.
This will be the first game for the Dolphins as their Week 1 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was postponed until Week 11 due to the nasty hurricanes we all wish would stop.

Can the Dolphins with new quarterback Jay Cutler ruin the Chargers Los Angeles Homecoming?
We will all found out this Sunday at the Stubhub Center.
Miami Dolphins
It was the worst sight possible when the Miami Dolphins witnessed quarterback Ryan Tannehill go down with a knee injury in training camp. It was also the worst news possible as the captain would be out for the whole season.
With a team that finally reached the playoffs again last year, the front office knew they had to find a quarterback fast to learn the Miami offense in hopes of capturing another playoff run. The quarterback they found was Jay Cutler who came out of retirement to take over the staring job.
In five games with the Bears last season, the 34-year old quarterback totaled 1,059 passing yards, four touchdowns and five interceptions. It’s not the best, but it’s worth the gamble especially knowing who’s right behind him.
Running back Jay Ajayi will be leaned on all season as he enters his third NFL season. The young 24-year old had a solid season last year as he finished with 1,272 rushing yards, and eight touchdowns in 15 games.
Besides a powerful running game, the Dolphins also have star receiver Jarvis Landry who totaled 1,136 receiving yards on 94 receptions in 2016. Another young-star to look out for his DeVante Parker who almost had 800 receiving yards last season.

Even though the Dolphins offense was red-hot they must work on their defense which was a huge disappointment last season.
They will be bringing back Ndamukong Suh along with Cameron Wake who both finished with a combined total of 16.5 sacks last year. Wake finished sixth in the NFL in sacks last year.
The Dolphins can cause some damage again in the NFL as their 10-6 wild card record showed years of improvement. They would loss to the Steelers 30-12 in the wild card game, but maybe Cutler can lead the Dolphins to bigger and better things.
Or probably not…
Los Angeles Chargers
Please welcome the San Diego Chargers, wait let me try that again. Please welcome the Los Angeles Chargers. It will be weird for every sports fan to see a NFL team playing inside a MLS stadium, but the games must continue.
The Chargers are currently playing and losing 24-14 (they did just get a fumble recovery with 7 minutes remaining to make it interesting) against the Denver Broncos on Monday night football before their Sunday afternoon clash against the Dolphins, but one overall message the Chargers want to prove is they are not a last place team.
Last year the Chargers finished off a disappointing 2016 season where they finished 5-11 and brought in first-year head coach Anthony Lynn to change the culture for the Chargers.
It was the worst way possible to leave San Diego like that, but the show must go on. The Chargers dropped their last five games and were dead last in the AFC West. It’s hard to watch a team that is always on the verge of something special with quarterback Phillip Rivers, but nothing happens.
Last year Rivers would have a decline year throwing for 33 touchdowns with 21 interceptions. It was a rough year for Rivers due to the injuries of Keenan Allen, and Danny Woodhead, as he looked lost with his 60.4 passing completion percentage.

Even though Rivers had a rough year, running back Melvin Gordon shined in his second-year. Gordon nearly rushed for 1,000 yards and totaled 10 touchdowns. He will be the main back in Los Angeles as Woodhead is currently playing for Baltimore.
Los Angeles finished the preseason 1-3 with getting their lone win against the Rams in the “Fight for LA” game. Will the Chargers be able to win Los Angeles with a huge win against the Dolphins?

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: L.A. Chargers -4
The Miami Dolphins were unable to play their Week 1 game against the Bucs. This will give the Chargers the upper hand with a game already under their belt.
NFL Free Week 2 Score Prediction: Dolphins 17 – Chargers 27
For me, it comes down to quarterbacks. This will be Jay Cutlers first game back as Rivers is comfortable in the Chargers offense.
As long as the Chargers can stop Jay Ajayi, this should be a sweet homecoming.
