The Rams and Chiefs both won in Week 5 and remained the NFL’s only two undefeated teams. LA had to overcome a couple of injuries in-game to wide receivers and may be without Brandin Cooks and/or Cooper Kupp this Sunday.

The Broncos may have started 2–0 but they’re 2–3 now and the bookies say it’ll be 2–4 after this one.
LA Rams
Both Cooper Kupp and Brandin Cooks suffered concussions in the first half of the Rams’ 33–31 win in Seattle on Sunday. Kupp had a big first half with six catches for ninety yards and a score. Cooks only caught one ball, fumbled it and then got hurt at the tail-end of the play when a defender fell on top of him.
Cooks hasn’t missed a game since his rookie season four years ago but a concussion knocked him out of last season’s Super Bowl and his last game with the Patriots. I haven’t been able to find any documented history of concussions for Kupp.

Those two guys, along with Robert Woods, who stayed healthy and came up just short of 100 yards, have an excellent claim as the best wide receiver trio in football. It’s still too early for anybody to know how serious the concussions are, but at this point consider it quite possible the Rams go into this game without either Kupp or Cooks.
That opens the door for Josh Reynolds, a fourth round pick of a year ago out of Texas A&M via junior college. He came on and converted three first-downs on Sunday with two catches and a run. If both Cooks and Kupp miss the game and Reynolds gets the start, he immediately becomes a fringe starter in fantasy leagues.
Todd Gurley is no fringe starter. He scored three touchdowns on the ground and caught four balls for thirty-six yards out of the backfield. He’s the only player in football to have scored a touchdown in every week, thus far.
Denver Broncos
I didn’t see the game, but Denver lost by eighteen points to the Jets. Case Keenum and his skill players put up numbers but the big early deficit must have had something to do with it.
Isiah Crowell and Bilal Powell tag-teamed the Broncos’ run defense for college football numbers. Crowell ran 15 times for 219 and a touch; Powell wasn’t quite so efficient: 20 carries for 99. Say hello to Mr. Gurley.

The Rams also gave it up on the ground to the Seahawks so I’m wondering how many honest stops we should be expecting in this game. I certainly expect Denver to stack up on Gurley early, given what happened against the Jets. That could open things up for Mr. Goff. The Rams don’t want to let the Broncos get the run game going in Denver so I could see similar opportunities for Keenum.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Denver puts up some points; LA puts up even more.
I’m envisioning Denver’s offense moving the ball, just not nearly as well as Los Angeles’. I say the Rams cover, but just not necessarily as comfortably as the total going over.
