The Chiefs won a wild one on Monday night. Clawing their way back from behind to win late and cover even later.
They are the only 4-0 team and that makes it easy to name them the best team in the league right now.
Houston may only be 2-2 at the moment but many are buying futures in this team, with an exciting offense and mean defense.

If they are truly building something this could be a game that confirms they are one of the contenders in the AFC.
Kansas City Chiefs
Arrowhead Stadium is one of the best home field advantages in the NFL. I am not saying that is why KC won but it had to help after they got down 10-0 on Monday night.
Alex Smith is going to go down as one of the most underrated players in league history. His teams win and he takes his ego out of it. When needed he flashes elite athleticism.
Kareem Hunt continues his assault on the league with his third hundred yard game in four outing. No huge gainers just steady moving of the sticks when called upon.
Everyone knows that Travis Kelce is a matchup nightmare and in this game he was especially big. The more they take the training wheels off Smith the more he can dominate.
The offense has yet to score less than 24 points (with some defensive help)…but this is the best defense they will have faced this season.

Kansas City has a good defense and it has played solidly in every game this season. What is amazing is their depth. Right now there is no Eric Berry, no Dee Ford and no Tamba Hali.
It helps that DE/LB Justin Houston is as disruptive as ever. Last week against Washington was the first game he did not have a sack this season and he made a lot of fans with his late score against Washington that sealed the cover and over.
It will be interested to see how Kansas City gameplans for the Texans and their emerging offense. They are usually pretty vanilla and just don’t make a lot of mistakes.
Houston Texans
Deshaun Watson is a rookie right? I know he kind of owned the college game last year but he is taking the NFL by storm too. He has led the Texans to progressively higher point totals with each start.
Given they scored 57 against Tennessee that might be hard to top. He has the offense humming and they are able to be pretty balanced too which is great.
Against Tennessee he looked really comfortable passing the ball and it is sort of amazing the way he he developed his game in such a short period of time.
Their running game is not great but balanced with their new found ability to pass they have the beginnings of a good enough offense.

Houston did a good job bottling up the Kansas City running game but once the score got out of hand that helped too. The K.C. style is a little bit different.
Houston is good at making quarterbacks uncomfortable. Alex Smith is no rookie but is not exactly going to wow with this talents either.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Houston +1.5
It is easy to see how the Chiefs have been installed as the favourite but Houston is definitely a live home underdog.
NFL Free Week 5 Score Prediction: Houston 28 – Kansas City 27
Watson is not going to lead the Texans to 60+ points this week but he can be the steady hand they need to get another victory under their belt over a good opponent.
Kansas City is still a very good team but I think this matchup is not favourable for them.
