Two of the best QBs in the game will faceoff on Sunday afternoon, with Andrew Luck and the visiting Colts entering Lambeau Field and the vaunted Green Bay Packers.
Kickoff is set for 1:25 PM PST in Green Bay, and as mentioned, Luck will take on Aaron Rodgers, who has stoked the Green Bay offense in the past two weeks despite missing some key players.
Indianapolis Colts
There’s a saying that goes “The definition of insanity is trying to do the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result,” which seems to sum up the Indianapolis Colts perfectly.

The Colts continue to shoot themselves in the foot by taking bad penalties and nullifying big plays.
It’s not just penalties however, both the offensive line and Indy’s defense have let them down in massive ways. Star QB, Andrew Luck, is on pace to be sacked 62 times this season after exiting week-8 against Kansas City who recorded six.
Luck was hit another 12 times in that game.
TY Hilton ranks fourth amongst wideouts with 702 yards on the season, though his counterpart, Donte Moncrief, is finally back from injury and may steal a few of the heavy volume targets Hilton’s been receiving.
Hilton put up just 20 yards against Kansas City in week-8.

As mentioned, the Colts defense has been about as bad as they come this season, allowing the 3rd highest total yards at 3220, ahead of just Oakland and Cleveland.
Moreover, they sit in 28th overall in average points-allowed per game at 28.8. Indy seems to have too many holes to fill in just one draft, despite being on pace to receive a relatively high pick in the upcoming one.
Green Bay Packers
The offense, which struggled early on this season, has seemed to have shifted it’s mentality and become very effective the past two weeks.
Since week-4, Green Bay has attempted 45, 42, 56 and 38 passes, effectively putting the game in the hands of maybe the best QB in the league, Aaron Rodgers.
Rodgers has responded by throwing 10 TD passes over those four games, and holds a passer rating of 95.88 over that timespan. On the season, he holds a 96.4 rating with 1,742 yards and 17 TDs.
The offense is missing a number of key pieces, with Eddie Lacy, Randell Cobb, and Ty Montgomery out, which can partly be the reasoning behind the high passing volume of late.
Jordy Nelson, while not completely looking like his old self, recorded the highest receiving total in week-8 with 94 yards and a TD. He also had a major 40+ yard reception called back because of a penalty near the line.

The Green Bay run defense has graded out well this year, but the same cannot be said for their passing Def.
Injuries to three of their top backfield options have certainly hurt, and they are still without the incumbent Sam Shields to solidify a corner spot.
Overall, the Packers sit right near the middle in total defense at 15th, allowing an average of 22.3 points per game.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Indianapolis has allowed the second most passing yards per game at an average of 287.8.
- Indy is 1-3 on the road this season
- Andrew Luck is currently 7th in the NFL in passing yards with 2,284 on the year
- Aaron Rodgers has completed at least 69.6% in each of his past three games
- Green Bay is 3-1 at home

Green Bay is coming off of a tough loss in Atlanta, falling 33-32 in a down-to-the-wire finish.
Aaron Rodgers still threw for 4 TDs despite missing two of his favorite targets in Randell Cobb and Ty Montgomery, both of whom have handled running back duties as well with Eddie Lacy out.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Indianapolis 27 – Green Bay 35
Neither defense is great, and both these excellent QBs should have some strong weapons back in the lineup with Montgomery set to return for Green Bay, as well as Moncrief being back for Luck to target.
Montgomery should help re-establish a run game for the Packers and it will be a favorable matchup for him against a bad Indy defense.
