Sunday afternoon football in Minnesota will feature a pair of division leaders going head to head when the Texans travel north to take on the undefeated Vikings.
Houston Texans
The 3-1 Houston Texans look to be an early favourite to win the AFC South, but that might not be saying much as they are likely to end up as the only team with a winning record come the end of the season.

Houston hasn’t dazzled, and QB Brock Osweiler has been anything but spectacular in the team’s first four games.
Add to that, this team could be without superstar defensive end JJ Watt for the remainder of the season, he certainly won’t suit up this week.
Need some more evidence that this team’s record may be misleading?
The 3-1 Texans are one of just two teams with a winning record to have a negative point differential (St. Louis). Much of that comes back to Osweiler just not looking like an NFL QB for much of the first quarter of the season.
The Texans rank 29th in points scored per game (17.2), 25th in yards per game (334.5) and 26th in pass yards (222).
The only thing they’ve done with any consistency is run the ball with Lamar Miller, and the Texans rank 11th in rushing yards per game at 112.5.
Going up against one of the best defences in the league, this matchup does not bode well.

Oh, and in their only road game of the season they were shut out 27-0 by the Patriots, so there’s that.
Minnesota Vikings
The Vikes have picked right back up from where they left off a year ago when they won the NFC North. They have stormed out to a 4-0 start and have shut down super star players on pretty much a weekly basis.
Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton and Odell Beckham Jr. have all had rough days against this fast and aggressive defence, and this week against a QB who has thrown six picks against five touchdowns, the Vikes could have an absolute field day.
Sam Bradford has been very good since joining the team and there’s been virtually no adjustment period as he’s fit right in and is keeping the offence moving effectively enough to get the D some rest.
This team won’t light up the scoreboard, as their lone playmaker is Stefon Diggs, though Kyle Rudolph is a decent red zone threat.
The Vikes however rank dead last in rush yards per game in Adrian Peterson’s absence, and 31st in yards per game (290.5).

This matchup is a friendly one for the Vikes as they won’t need to rack up numbers against what is a pretty poor Texans offence.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Minnesota -6.0
The Vikings have shut down far better offences than Houston’s and the Texans were so inept their last time they played road game. I don’t see the Vikes getting tripped up here.
NFL Free Score Prediction: Minnesota 24 – Houston 10
The Vikings take a lead into halftime and keep it rolling. Houston doesn’t have the firepower to keep pace in this one.
