I want to say someone is going to get a win in this one but the Lions already have a rare tie so who knows. Either way not a lot of reasons to like either side.
Chicago just has no offense. Whatever magic they had a year ago seems to have dissipated. Detroit, there is no fun backing those guys.
The Lions are off a loss at the Raiders and wondering where all the optimism from that 2-0-1 start has gone to. This team is able to move the ball but not score much while at the same time they give up a ton of yards but a little more respectable in terms of points allowed. Go figure.
Matt Stafford is having his best statistical season in the pros. That might not matter given the team is likely to miss the playoffs again but it is empirically correct. People might point to the fact that he has interceptions in the last three games but just 5 on the season and in each of the last three his rating has been over 100.
Those numbers are in part required as Detroit has no running game, they are not even averaging 100ypg on the ground. Kerryon Johnson is out and players like J.D. McKissic are not going to get it done.
Detroit was supposed to have a defense in top half of the league and with Matt Patricia at the helm their struggles on that side are even more disappointing. They just made the Raiders offense look elite.
Thankfully Chicago is significantly flawed offensively. The defense may be able to stand up.
The Bears have lost four straight games and might have already played themselves out of the division race with more than half a season to go. Two games were close but mostly this group just looks bad.
It is all about the offense and whether they can be even functional. Mitch Trubisky has been a tire fire this season and last week might have been his worst game of the year.
The defense is only giving up 18ppg and that generally gives them a shot. It certainly should against Detroit. They have not been as dynamic as they were a year ago though.
Khalil Mack was electric last season, seemingly winning a couple of games all on his own. This season he might be on pace for 11 sacks, which is good, but the impact has not been there.
This is an absolute must-win for the Bears. They need to have a combination of good game plan and flawless execution. I am not sure exactly where the problem has been between the two this season.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Bears -3
I want to take the Lions here but I am just having trouble pulling the trigger. This is such a square number too, likely to be hit, teased and parlayed.
NFL Free Week 10 Score Prediction: Chicago 24 – Detroit 17
It scares me that I might be relying on the Bears to score but they did look better in the second half against Philadelphia so maybe they can build on it. Feel free to bypass this game altogether.
