BREAKING NEWS (Saturday AM)
Raiders released Antonio Brown.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) September 7, 2019
The last game of week 1 and the second game on Monday Night will be played between the Denver Broncos and the Oakland Raiders. Both teams play out of the AFC West, so both will want to start out with a win in their division.
These two teams split their two meetings last season. They each won a game at home.
Denver Broncos
The Broncos will be looking to compete this season after a disappointing year in 2018.

They went 6-10 an ended up having to hire a new coach.
The Broncos offense has really struggled in recent years. They averaged just 20.6 points per game last season, which ranked near the bottom of the league.
They signed Joe Flacco earlier this year to address those concerns. They also drafted Drew Lock, quarterback out of Missouri, as the potential future quarterback. However, he recently suffered a thumb injury and was placed on the injured reserve.
Their offense does not necessarily have a superstar player, but they have several guys that are good. Starting with Emmanuel Sanders at wide receiver. He had 868 yards, but just 4 touchdowns.
He did only play 12 games due to injury, so if he can stay healthy, he should be able to make a difference.
At running back they have Phillip Lindsay, who is starting to establish himself as the number one back in Denver. He had 1,037 yards rushing and 9 touchdowns. If the Broncos are going to have success, Lindsay must have a big role.

Defense is where the Broncos tend to play very well. However, the problem is sometimes they are forced to be on the field a ton because the offense cannot move the ball.
The Broncos allowed an average of 21.8 points per game last season, and with guys like Von Miller and Bradley Chubb still on the team, they will still be tough to play against.
Oakland Raiders
The Raiders went 4-12 last season and it will be hard for them to be worse this season. They have a brutal schedule, so winning this opener could be huge if they are going to have any chance to compete.
The Raiders were able to snag Antonio Brown which makes them a threat on offense. They still have Derek Carr, who is good but needs to re-establish himself after a few rough seasons. The Raiders also drafted Josh Jacobs out of Alabama to take over at running back.
Last season the Raiders scored 18.1 points per game. This was one of the worst scoring averages in the league.
Having Antonio Brown now will help their scoring, but I still am not sure they will be able to do much on the Broncos stout defense.
The second game in #NFL Week 1 #MNF action sees the #Broncos visiting the #Raiders. The line opened at Raiders -2.5 O/U 43. We're now seeing the line at PK and O/U 43. What side are you on for this one?

Last year, their leading receiver was a tight end, so again Antonio Brown was a much needed player to help rebuild this team.
This is all assuming Brown will be able to play in week one. Brown suffered frostbite during a cryotherapy treatment and is still recovering.
Defensively, the Raiders were literally the worst in the league. They allowed 29.2 points per game. The only reason I believe they can shut down the Broncos is because they have not been good on offense in a few years.
Their defense looked better in the preseason, and I believe we will see some improvement in this divisional game.

4* Free Monday Night Football NFL Betting Prediction: UNDER 43
I do not trust the Denver offense at all, but I think their defense will be able to shut down Oakland. That said, I will lean to the under.
NFL Free Week 1 Score Prediction: Broncos 17 – Raiders 20
I believe Oakland will win the game, but it will be a very low scoring game.
