The Buffalo Bills started their regular season in the Meadowlands and that’s where they’ll be in Week 2 as well.
The Jets got off to the faster start but Buffalo made the plays down the stretch when they mattered most.
The Giants played the opposite way against the Cowboys. Their fast start felt like nothing but a distant memory after a thorough beatdown to the Cowboys.
Buffalo Bills
The only score in the first half of the Bills and Jets game at the Meadowlands was a Josh Allen pick-six. New York didn’t even make the extra point.

Then the Jets scored the first ten of the second half and it was looking like a decisive game, 16–0 late in the second half with the home team leading.
The Bills kicked a field goal in the third quarter to enter the fourth down by 13 and Josh Allen, like the cool customer he is, led his team to two fourth quarter touchdowns and a 1716 win.
He ran for the first one from three yards out and he threw the winner to Josh Brown. The one through the air went for 38 yards, about half of which was in the air.
This was one of the games I was watching closely in the first week because, while both teams have some talent, only one was going to start 1–0. Now that that is the Bills, consider them armed and dangerous with a young quarterback who has mounting confidence and a good defense to back him up.
New York Giants
Saquon Barkley ran the ball just 11 times for the Giants against the Cowboys. He still racked up 120 yards on those carries and caught four balls but somehow the Cowboys convinced the Giants to make someone else try and beat them.
Instead, Dallas beat Eli Manning, who didn’t have a bad game, statistically. He only missed 14 of his 44 passes and didn’t throw a single pick. He even tossed the first touchdown of the game.

That went to Evan Engram, who finished the day with 11 catches for 116 yards. New York didn’t score another touchdown until the fourth, when Dallas already had its commanding lead.
Between the scores, Dak Prescott toyed with New York’s pass defense, which couldn’t generate any rush and let Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup, not to mention Randall Cobb, run free in the second level.
Buffalo doesn’t have the passing attack Dallas does (the Cowboys look like an early contender to shake up the order of power in the NFC this season) but Allen has a big arm that plays deep down the field.
It also has an improved offensive line that should be able to control New York’s pass rush much like Dallas was able to. I’m starting John Brown in fantasy football in Week 2 and looking for the Bills to win a second road game in as many weeks.
NFL Betting Trends:
- Under is 7-1 in BUF last 8 road games.
- Over is 7-2 in BUF last 9 games as a road favorite.
- Over is 6-2 in BUF last 8 games in Week 2.
- NYG are 1-6-1 ATS in their last 8 home games.
4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Buffalo marches on to 2–0.
There are a couple of injuries to watch ahead of this one. Sterling Shepard may have a concussion for the Giants and therefore could miss this game, depending on how he advances through the protocol.
Sunday Week 2 #NFL betting action we get the Buffalo #Bills vs. New York #Giants. Line opened with the Giants a -3 favorite and the O/U at 43. Most books have it at Bills -1.5 now, and O/U at 43.5. What say you NFL Bettors?

Buffalo’s corner back Taron Johnson left the game with a hamstring and his status for this one isn’t yet known. Buffalo would love to challenge Manning to beat it and that becomes slightly tougher down a corner.
Stil, I like Buffalo’s defense to keep the scoring down in the teens and low-20s, a number Allen and the offense can manage in another close one. Often times in the NFL, one close win leads to another.
