It is probably not the greatest win in the world but the Bills did beat Tennessee at home last week as an underdog. Josh Allen may or may not emerge as a winning quarterback but the was able to march the team to victory in the fourth quarter.

Overtime is definitely a theme for the 2018 season and that is what Houston needed to fend off Dallas last Sunday night. They were at home and stay at home so I am not expecting much, if any, letdown effect.
Buffalo Bills
There were many pundits who though the Bills were the worst team in the league coming into this week. I doubt they are going to challenge for AFC East supremacy but they did beat Tennessee at home and their other win was against Minnesota. Both teams were in the playoffs a year ago, as were the Bills.
This season is all about the development of Josh Allen. In the win over the Titans he did not provide much in the way of offense – just 82 yards passing – but at the very least seemed reasonably poised down the stretch on their game winning drive. We still need to see more from him if we are going to base our handicapping in any sort of positive way.

The Bills have to be pleased with their defensive effort from last week. Marcus Mariotta was only marginally more effective than Allen and they did not let Tennessee establish much of a ground game. They were able to force a couple of turnovers too.
This is a road game but the Bills should be able to compete with Houston, a team that has not been living up to expectations most of the season. They will attack Buffalo differently than Tennessee did so the gameplan will have to be different.
Houston Texans
After back to back to back losses to start the season Houston has won two in a row, both by three points. They are obviously not dominating the competition but wins are wins and now they are just a game behind Jacksonville and Tennessee. In short they are back in it.
If you watched on Sunday night you heard the broadcasters praising DeShaun Watson all game. I have to admit he looked pretty good but the team still only scored 19 points and scored just one touchdown. He is running with abandon which is nice to see but he is opening himself up for big hits at the same time.

The defense looked good in harassing Dak Prescott. They weren’t always able to get him on the ground but the combo of JJ Watt and Jadeveon Clowney looked like the best pair of defensive ends in the league. When they bring the heat consistently this can be an elite defense.
This is a key spot for the Texans at home. Having salvaged their season with back to back wins they can’t get caught looking ahead to next week’s date at Jacksonville. If they are going to compete they have to win the ones they are supposed to.

4* Free NFL Betting Prediction: Buffalo +8.5
I like the home team to win but this spread seems too generous to me. They are nowhere near to crushing teams and the offense sputters at time thanks to a limited ground game.
NFL Free Week 6 Score Prediction: Houston 27 – Buffalo 20
The Bills will have a chance to win this one late. They won’t, but as long as they keep the Texans one dimensional their own strong defense will make enough plays to keep them in the game. This one opened at -10 and is already down a point and a half.
