NFC Participant: Atlanta Super Bowl 51 Odds +125
Remember the days when Matt Ryan was just a regular season quarterback? Well those days look long gone as he has led his team into the Super Bowl.
On paper the Patriots do look like the superior team. Although Atlanta has a better offense, the Patriots do have Tom Brady, arguably the greatest quarterback of all time.

For the Falcons to win they need Matt Ryan to outplay Tom Brady, which is a difficult task but is definitely doable.
NFC Divisional Game
The Falcons offense was the story of this game as well it should have been, but it was actually the defense that stepped up the most to win the game.
Seattle actually scored the opening touchdown in this game on a drive that took over eight minutes off the clock. But the Falcons and their offense didn’t panic and stepped up to the challenge. The Falcons outscored the Seahawks 19-3 the rest of the half to take a 19-10 lead into the half.
In the second half the offense continued to do its thing but it was the defense that sealed the game. They had two fourth quarter interceptions off Russell Wilson to win the game 36-20.
NFC Championship Game
The NFC Championship game was a quarterback lovers dream as Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan went head to head.
At the end of the day though Matt Ryan made it all about him and his Falcons.
Matt Ryan threw for 392 yards and four touchdowns well Julio Jones had 180 yards and two touchdowns.
The most impressive part of that game might have been the defense. For a team that has struggled all year on that side of the ball, they frustrated Rodgers all game and got turnovers at Key times to preserve the win.
Falcons Super Bowl 51 Odds: Strengths
Wide Receivers:
We all know Matt Ryan is a strength so we are going to not talk about him but focus on other parts of the teams.
The Falcons might have the best wide receivers in the NFL as a group. Of course everyone knows what Julio Jones can do and his numbers speak for themselves. But teams can’t double Julio anymore because others will hurt them.

Mohamed Sanu has had an unbelievable season as a number two receiver and Taylor Gabriel and his speed have been a welcome addition to this offense.
Backfield:
Not only are the receivers good but the Falcons might have the best one two punch out of the backfield in the NFL.
Devonta Freeman and Tevin Coleman are both team first guys and it has shown on the field. They have combined for over 1600 rushing yards, 800 receiving yards and 24 total touchdowns.
Both of them are super fast and are a threat to break a long way anytime they touch the ball.
Weaknesses:
Matt Ryan Playoff Quarterback:
Now this isn’t saying Matt Ryan is a weakness but before this season he always had troubles showing up for the big games.
In previous seasons it was a lot of one and downs for the Falcons because Matt Ryan would throw interceptions at the wrong time.
I don’t expect that type of thing to happen in this game, but you never know when the bad Matt Ryan might make an appearance.
Defense:
It’s a good thing the Atlanta Falcons offense puts up a lot of points, because the defense really has a hard time stopping anyone.

They are ranked 25th or worse in every major defensive statistical category except for rush defense. If teams weren’t always playing catch up against the Falcons that probably would be too. They give up 25.4 points per game which is 27th in the league.
For the Falcons to win the defense needs to step up, which it has in the last two games. Although they are a weakness I do think they will do enough to slow down Tom Brady and his Patriots.
