2019 Indianapolis Colts: Roster Changes
The Colts did not exactly make a ton of big moves this offseason. They were forced to scramble and sign Brian Hoyer as a backup quarterback after the Andrew Luck retirement.
They added depth to several positions, but did not add anyone in a blockbuster deal.
They of course drafted Paris Campbell, wide receiver out of Ohio State, who could make a big impact if utilized correctly.

2019 Indianapolis Colts Predictions: Offense
With the news of Andrew Luck retiring, the Colts offense is sure to take a major hit. Jacoby Brissett takes over under center and he is not exactly the best when it comes to managing a game and leading his team to a successful season. Back in 2017, Brissett was the starter due to an injury Andrew Luck suffered. He led the Colts to a 4-12 season.
The Colts do still have TY Hilton, who needs to get the ball a ton if the Colts want to have a good year. He led the team with 1,270 receiving yards in 2018, but had just 6 receiving touchdowns. In 2017 when Brissett was QB, Hilton had just 966 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Another guy that needs to be heavily involved in this offense is Eric Ebron. In 2018, Ebron had 750 receiving yards and 13 touchdowns. He was basically a safety net for Andrew Luck and will need to be the same for Brissett.
As for the running backs, Marlon Mack had a decent year in 2018, rushing for 908 yards and 9 touchdowns. Now that Andrew Luck is gone, the run game must be established to help Brissett.

2019 Indianapolis Colts Predictions: Defense
The defense looks to be very solid for the Colts this season. Darius Leonard is the guy to watch as he had a fantastic rookie season. He led the team with 163 tackles and had 7 sacks to go along with that. Not to mention he also won defensive rookie of the year, so I expect even more from him this season.
The Colts were 10th in the NFL last year, allowing an average of 21.5 points per game. They were 16th in the league in passing defense, allowing 237.8 yards per game through the air. However, they were ranked 8th in rushing defense, allowing only 101.6 yards per game.
The defense will likely be tested much more this season because the offense could be on sideline for a lot of their games. That could lead to the defense always being tired and therefore allowing bigger plays. Overall, the Colts defense is one to watch out for and I believe they are poised to have another great season.
2019 Indianapolis Colts Handicapping: (Strengths/Weaknesses)
The strength for this team is the defense. They must be able to force turnovers if they are going to have chances to win games.
That obviously leaves the quarterback as their biggest weakness. They have some solid wide receivers, just the quarterback is a huge question mark. Maybe Brissett will be able to turn things around, but I do not trust that Brissett can be effective for the entire season.
2019 Indianapolis Colts (Final Record Prediction): 6-10
The loss of Luck takes this team from being a contender in the AFC to maybe having a winning season. I just do not see how Brissett is going to win a ton of games given his past resume.
The Colts may be looking at a quarterback now in next years’s draft and therefore I see them having a poor season.
