The Pick: Tom Brady -125
Brady has been the Super Bowl MVP in four of New England’s five wins in his career. The only Super Bowl that he won and wasn’t named MVP came against the Eagles in 2005 when Deion Branch won it.

The Patriots feel like they should be a bigger favorite than they are and Brady is the obvious choice to win it in a default setting. In a game that I’m struggling to come up with other scenarios, the status quo seems like a fair bet.
Brady’s career numbers are great without Rob Gronkowski, though it might be heinous to say he’s better off without him.
Keep on eye on Gronk’s status as we inch closer to game day, regardless.
Another Candidate: James White +4000
James White disappeared for about six weeks at the end of the regular season but he came back in time for the playoffs, where he has a history of shining.

The Eagles have to be focusing much of their game plan on Dion Lewis, and for good reason. Lewis has been terrific and will be the primary ball-handler out of the backfield for New England.
But White is dangerous catching the ball in open space.
In a game that very well may go under, and way under, the total, one or two big plays could be enough to win it, especially if Brady isn’t sensational individually.
White has a decent shot at making a big catch-and-run and finding the end zone. Let’s not forget what sort of performance he’s coming off of last year.
