Kentucky is up by a game with 2 to play so it looks like they will take the SEC title, no surprise there.
Vandy is playing well now but has been inconsistent throughout the season.
It is probably too little too late but a win in Lexington would get some attention.
Vanderbilt Commodores
Vandy is closing strong. They have won four straight, covered in all four, including two underdog wins. It might be too late but they are playing their best ball of the season.
This is not a deep team so coach Bryce Drew does not have a lot of options. That is why even a frustrating player like Luke Kornet is allowed to play like he does.
That slight is because despite Kornet’s long frame he prefers the perimeter. That mean’s despite being 7’1″ he is not much of a rebounder.

This team is odd because they have good shooters but don’t score a lot of points. Their to 4 players all shoot better than 80% on free throws but do not get to the line much.
They allow less than 70ppg but they are limited on defense, lacking a true stopper or a rim protector.
Vanderbilt still has that play smart style but not the killer instinct this season. They may be closing strong but they should not be able to keep up with the Wildcats if they are interested.
Kentucky Wildcats
Even though the did not have the services of point guard De’Aaron Fox the Wildcats still got a big win on Saturday over Florida. Now they just have to hold serve the rest of the way.
The win over the Gators was fascinating. Malik Monk was a non-factor in the first half but came alive in the second scoring 33 points – I believe he scored 30 of the team’s 48 in the second half.
The fact that he can put a team on his back makes this Kentucky team very dangerous. Its not like Florida is not a good defensive team either.

In that same game it was fun to watch Bam Adebayo exert his will. He finished with 18 points and 15 rebounds and it was amazing how he could be so active while only committing two fouls.
Fox is still questionable for this one but there is no question this team can win without him.

Free Vanderbilt Commodores vs. Kentucky Wildcats NCAAB Prediction:
The Cats will be favoured, probably in the 8 to 10 point range.
With Fox that would be an easy number to cover but I think they still have a good shot in that range at home.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: No line currently listed. A final score prediction is posted below.
Kentucky may not have a lot of seniors but there will be a lot of emotion for what will be the last game at Rupp for many.
