Texas Tech Red Raiders
Texas Tech lost its chance to pull back to even with Kansas in the Big-12 and has now almost certainly lost its bid to get a share of the title.
Devontae Graham made the go-ahead jumper with 92 seconds remaining and another one to put the Jayhawks up four a minute later. Kansas won by two.

Keenan Evans was, once again, not himself as he continues to play through a toe injury. He isn’t a stand-still player and with his mobility compromised, he went just 1-of-6 from the field for six points.
Tech hasn’t been mathematically eliminated from earning a split of the conference title but it will have to win both of its games this week and see Kansas lose both.
That makes this a must-win for the Raiders and with Kansas hosting Texas, it’s likely going to be the end.
West Virginia Mountaineers
West Virginia is actually in the same position as Texas Tech now, two games back with two to play. The Mountaineers have been forgotten after some mid-schedule losses and a second loss to Kansas — by three at Phog Allen.
But since then, WVU won at Baylor and beat Iowa State by 15 points at home. Instead of focusing on a Big-12 title race, the Mountaineers have managed to stay under the radar and focus on growing as a team. If they continue to, this is still a Final Four sort of team.

That’s because Jevon Carter could be the best player on the floor all the way to the Final Four. He’s averaging over 17 points per game with nearly three steals. He’s also got a great supporting cast.
West Virginia is difficult to predict in the NCAA Tournament but this is still one of its strongest teams in the last ten years or so.

Free Texas Tech Red Raiders vs. West Virginia NCAAB Prediction: West Virginia at home.
I can’t get behind Tech with Evans playing how he’s playing. If shutting him down for a game or two helps, Chris Beard ought to consider it seriously.
