San Jose State Spartans
Antelope Valley, Idaho State and Santa Clara: those are the only three teams San Jose State has beaten this season.
None of those teams are a part of the Mountain West Conference, where the Spartans are 0–14. With just four games left, including this one on the road against the best team in the conference, it appears more and more likely that SJSU will go winless in the conference.

Ryan Welage can play but he doesn’t have much help. Welage is scoring 18.5 points per game this season on 42.5 percent from three-point range. He’s about the only guy worth mentioning on this roster right now.
Nevada Wolfpack
I’ve been ready to pencil Nevada into the Round of 32, at least, in my bracket for months now. I was also ready to have it take down several teams that could be potentially #1 or #2 seeds and second round opponents.
But the Mountain West Conference leader has been bitten by the injury bug. First, there was a scare. Caleb Martin suffers an injury to his foot that was first believed to be season-ending before he came back after missing just one game.

Nevada beat San Diego State on the road and then went to Boise State to play the second-place Broncos. Right before the half, point guard Lindsey Drew ruptured his Achille’s Tendon while attempting a three-quarters court heave at the buzzer.
That injury came right after Drew’s best game of the season: 12 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists in 40 minutes against SDSU. After the sigh of relief, devastation for Nevada.
Now this team is going to be hard to gage in March. It still has most of what has made it a great team but not all and that is hard to deal with when it comes to making predictions. The team’s ceiling has lowered significantly, to be sure.
