The Elite 8 kicks off Saturday with two games. One of those games is a Big 12/Pac 12 showdown between the Kansas Jayhawks and the Oregon Ducks.
Both of these teams can really score a lot of points in a hurry. The Kansas Jayhawks cruised in their Sweet 16 game, well the Oregon Ducks had their game come all the way down to the wire.
Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks were really playing well heading into the end of the regular season, and the conference tournament and everything was looking good.
But then in the semifinals of the Pac 12 tournament senior forward Chris Boucher tore his ACL. On the season he was averaging 11.8 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocks per game.
He is really going to be missed in this game against the Jayhawks, who are team that really like to drive and kick and get a lot of points from inside.

In their Elite 8 game they beat the Michigan Wolverines by a final score of 69-68. The Wolverines had a shot at the buzzer to win it, but it missed.
The Ducks were led by sophomore guard Tyler Dorsey. He had 20 points, two assists and two steals. To win the game against the Jayhawks he is going to have to have another big game on both sides of the floor.
He is going to need to try and slow down the back court of the Jayhawks, especially Frank Mason.
Kansas Jayhawks
The Kansas Jayhawks have the best odds in Vegas to win the National Championship and they showed why on Thursday night against the Purdue Boilermakers.
After having a very back and forth game in the first half the Jayhawks couldn’t seem to miss a shot in the second half.
Frank Mason and Devonte’ Graham both had 26 points to lead the Jayhawks to lead the Jayhawks to a 98-66 victory.

For Devonte’ Graham to have such a big game was huge for the Jayhawks. He is the x-factor if this team wants to win the National Championship.
To win this game the Jayhawks just need to do what they did against Purdue.
They need to get everyone involved early and make some threes. If Mason and Graham can play as close to as well as they did against the Boilermakers the Jayhawks will be moving onto the Final Four.
Elite 8 Betting Trends
- ORE are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 Sat. games.
- Over is 7-2 in KU last 9 non-conference games.
- Under is 27-10 in KU last 37 NCAA Tournament games.

This game is going to come down to how well the Oregon Ducks can play on the defensive side of the floor. I think the Jayhawks will really come out firing in this game and get the “home” crowd behind them early.
