Miami got a big win on Saturday, knocking off Duke at home in front of the whole nation.
Virginia Tech has the same 20-8 record but I am not sure their profile is as strong.
As such this is a very important game for the home Hokies, who probably have more work to do.
Miami Hurricanes
The Canes have won four in a a row and 6 of 7 heading into this one. They are a strong defensive team and limited the Blue Devils to just 50 points on the weekend.
It was their second win a row where they didn’t even crack 60 points on their own. That is some defense they are playing but I am not sure they want to play in the 50’s.
Davon Reed has emerged this season. The senior is leading the team scoring 15ppg. That is a career high, as are his rebounding and assist totals.

The Canes are strong on the perimeter with Ja’Quan Newton and Bruce Brown. Those are the only other two players averaging more than 7ppg.
Inside Kamari Murphy is the top rebounder. He is not featured on offense but none of their bigs really are.
Miami is looking to close the season with a flourish. It would be wise to get this win and build some momentum for their closing game at FSU.
Virginia Tech
Tech is an interesting team this season. They have been killing it at home (14-1) and they are a better shooting team than you would expect.
Zach LeDay might not be an NBA prospect and is a bit of a tweener but he is all ACC material with 15ppg and 7rpg. He might be more of an MVP play too given his importance to the team. They have balance though with 4 other scorers in the double figures.

Seth Allen and Ahmed Hill are both solid guards who shoot better than 40% from deep. Chris Clarke leads the team team in rebounding at just 6’6″.
I have not seen a lot of the Hokies this season so I am not entirely sure what to make of them to be honest. 20 wins speaks for itself though.

Free Miami Hurricanes vs. Virginia Tech Hokies NCAAB Prediction:
Classic letdown spot for the Canes here. Still the number is small.
This should be a low scoring game but Miami has enough to keep up if they play at a faster pace.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: Miami +2.5 & UNDER
I am looking for the Canes to build off their win on Saturday. VT has had a break in their schedule playing some weaker teams.
