Monday night, February 25th, brings you a Big 12 showdown as the Kansas State Wildcats hit the road to take on cross state rival Kansas Jayhawks, live from the Allen Fieldhouse.
Kansas State had their first win over the Jayhawks in nearly four years earlier this month, and look to sweep the season series and put a bit more space between them and the rest of the conference as the regular season winds down.
#21 Kansas State Wildcats
The Wildcats come into this game winners of four out of their last five games, with the one loss coming to #19 Iowa State last weekend. They currently lead Texas Tech by one game in the Big 12 standings.
Kansas State is averaging 66.5 points per game on the year, but has averaged 71 points per contest over their last five. The only time they were held under that in the same span was in the loss to Iowa State. So it will be important for them to come out with a high tempo on Monday night.

In their 39 point win over Oklahoma State on Saturday, the Wildcats shot 61.5 percent from the field and a very impressive 50% from the three point line, but struggled at the line, making only 11 of 17 free throws.
In that game, Junior F Xavier Sneed and Junior F Austin Trice shared the team lead with 12 points each. Senior G Barry Brown Jr. had 10 points to go with his team high 7 rebounds, Freshman G Shaun Neal-Williams added 10 points off the bench in 27 minutes of game time.
#12 Kansas Jayhawks
Kansas has won three out of their last five games with the above mentioned loss to Kansas State, and an embarrassing 29 point loss to #14 Texas Tech on Saturday. They are currently 3rd in the Big 12, just two games behind the Wildcats.
On the year Kansas is averaging 76.4 points per game, which they far beyond exceeded in their last three wins, but it was the two losses that should have KU fans worried about as they only scored 64.5 points in those two games.

The Jayhawks shot a respectable 45.8% from the field in their loss to Texas Tech, and a really good 42.9% from beyond the arc, but they only made it to the free throw line 12 times, and only hit 9 of those.
Junior F Dedric Lawson was the only Kansas player who scored in double figures with 14 points on the night, he also had a team high 5 rebounds. Sophomore Guards Charlie Moore and Marcus Garrett added 9 points a piece off the bench for the Jayhawks.
CBB Betting Trends:
- Wildcats are 27-11 ATS in last 38 games vs. Big 12 foes
- Wildcats are 6-2 in last 8 games when the score goes Under the number
- Jayhawks are 19-7-2 in last 28 home games when the score goes Over the number
- The Favorite is 18-6-2 ATS in the last 26 meetings between these two schools
Free Kansas State Wildcats vs. Kansas Jayhawks NCAAB Prediction:
Kansas is just such a tough team to beat when they take the floor at the Allen Fieldhouse, and everything in me wants to say put the easy money on them. But this is a different situation this year. Kansas State is not the slouch that they used to be.
If anybody can beat Kansas on their home court, it’s the Wildcats, and I think they do just that here on Monday night. This is a team that looks destined for the Sweet 16 and possibly more.
