Butler is always a tough out and they play well on the road so Providence better be ready.
The Friars might not look like a tournament team now but if they turn things around and win here they could close with a flurry.
The Big East is usually great action. Butler should be in this game but Providence will make them earn it.
Butler Bulldogs
Butler had a couple of home losses last week but got back to winning on the road and has won their last three away from Hinkle Fieldhouse.
The style of play of the Bulldogs always lends itself to dictating tempo which is what you need to do for sustained success on the road.
Kelan Martin is the leading scorer and an underrated talent. He is probably the best player they have had since Gordon Hayward was on campus and has a similar game.

It has been exciting to see the development of PG Kamar Baldwin. Butler rarely relies on freshman but he is special. A great athlete who is not afraid of the big moment. He had 4 blocks in their last game.
The Bulldogs are expert at position defense so their overall lack of size is not usually an issue.
Butler is a good road team but their ATS record is just 4-4 this season. One of those things where you don’t want to let your mind get away from the actual results.
Providence Friars
Just because the Friars are near the bottom of the Big East standings doesn’t mean you can discount them. This is a solid group.
The Friars have been good about developing talent and this year the evidence of that is Rodney Bullock. He has increased his productivity without decreasing his efficiency, those things do not go hand in hand. He and Emmitt Holt give the Friars two productive small forward types.

Kyron Cartwright is not Kris Dunn but in terms of running the team he is very good. He is averaging 6.5 dimes per game and is a good enough shooter.
Providence should be playing in the postseason somewhere. How they do down the stretch will determine but it has to start with this game.
CBB Betting Trends:
- BUT are 8-3-1 ATS in their last 12 Sat. games.

Free Butler Bulldogs vs. Providence Friars NCAAB Prediction:
Butler is definitely the likely win here but the number is critical. Even when they blow people out it is hard to predict.
I think Providence could be a very live dog at home. They are 10-3 as an underdog this season including 3-1 at home.
4* Free CBB Betting Pick: Providence ATS
I think I am going to go with the home team here, expect a game that goes down to the final possessions.
