2016-2017 NBA Previews – Pacific Division Odds
Looking for 2016 NBA Pacific Division Predictions? We’ve got your back. The Pacific Division is the Golden State Warriors and everybody else. The Dubs are back-to-back Western Conference champions, won the 2015 title and had it not been for a Draymond Green suspension, likely would have another Larry O’Brien Trophy in their case.

Oh yeah, they’ve also added Kevin Durant.
Despite the Warriors being a heavy favorite to win this division, the Los Angeles Clippers could very well be the best version of themselves we’ve ever seen. The other teams in this division will be legitimately fun to watch, but it’s a two-horse race at this point in the process.
Golden State Warriors NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Steve Kerr
2015-16 Record: 73-9
Odds To Win Division: -10000
Odds To Win Conference: -250
Odds To Win NBA Championship: -125
Stephen Curry. Klay Thompson. Draymond Green. And now Kevin Durant.
This team is stacked, and historically so. The 2016-17 season will be the first time four All-NBA players suit up for the same franchise.

The Warriors set an NBA record last year with 73 wins — and have absolutely no interest in chasing 74 this season. They realize now how daunting of a task that truly is and will value things like rest throughout this campaign with another championship in mind.
In terms of odds, the Warriors have forced Vegas’ hand. They were originally set around -150 to win the title, which hadn’t been set since Michael Jordan’s Chicago Bulls came off their own record-setting 72-win season.
Los Angeles Clippers NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Doc Rivers
2015-16 Record: 53-29
Odds To Win Division: +1000
Odds To Win Conference: +1200
Odds To Win NBA Championship: +2500
The Los Angeles Clippers have yet to meet the expectations that were set when Lob City was first established.
They haven’t made a Western Conference Finals with Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, and they’re coming off a postseason that saw them eliminated by the Portland Trail Blazers in the first round.

Blake Griffin and Chris Paul both falling to injuries halfway through the series didn’t help, but this team can’t use that as an excuse when it’s failed to meet expectations so many times before.
This season, the theme for the Clippers will be: Is it time to break through or time to break up? Los Angeles needs to prove it can be elite in the playoffs, or the core Big Three will likely be shaken up next offseason.
At this point in the process, L.A. is +12000 to win the West (third) behind the San Antonio Spurs at +450 (second).
With the Spurs’ core continuing to age and rumors being spread that LaMarcus Aldridge may be traded, the Clippers seem to have as good a shot as ever to reach that conference finals they’ve targeted for years now.
Los Angeles Lakers NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Luke Walton
2015-16 Record: 17-65
Odds To Win Division: +10000
Odds To Win Conference: +15000
Odds To Win NBA Championship: +20000
If there’s one thing we know about the Los Angeles Lakers, it’s that they’re going to be both incredibly fun and incredibly frustrating to watch this season.
With a young core comprising D’Angelo Russell, Brandon Ingram, Jordan Clarkson and Julius Randle, the entertainment value for L.A. will far exceed last season’s Kobe Bryant farewell tour.
At the same time, though, the growing pains will be apparent when the youngsters inevitably give up big leads and find themselves on the wrong side of blowouts.
The Lakers have a veteran presence in Timofey Mozgov and Luol Deng that should help balance out the inexperience in the locker room.
If you’re a fan of L.A., you’re hoping for growth from the young players and absolutely no off-court distractions like the one we saw a year ago with Russell and Nick Young.
Sacramento Kings NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Dave Joerger
2015-16 Record: 33-49
Odds To Win Division: +15000
Odds To Win Conference: +15000
Odds To Win NBA Championship: +50000
The Sacramento Kings are the most dysfunctional team in the NBA, and it’s not even close. They have yet another new head coach running the show this season, and we’re already hearing trade rumors about one of the team’s most talented players, Rudy Gay.
The thing that gives this franchise hope for the future is the talent and stardom of DeMarcus Cousins.
The problem, though, is that he finds himself as the source of controversy when he loses his cool on the court and finds himself in trade talk as a result.
Although Sacramento finished with the 10th seed out West last season, a step backward could very well be in order for 2016-17.
Phoenix Suns NBA Pacific Division Prediction
Head Coach: Earl Watson
2015-16 Record: 23-59
Odds To Win Division: +20000
Odds To Win Conference: +25000
Odds To Win NBA Championship: + 50000
If the Phoenix Suns have anything going for them at this juncture, it’s their dynamic backcourt. Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe have a chance to be one the league’s most exciting one-two punches when healthy, and Devin Booker looks like a stud in the making.
The problem, as it is with a team like the Lakers, is that inexperience is likely to outweigh excitement this season when you consider the other core pieces consist of rookies Dragan Bender and Marquese Criss.

If the Suns’ young pieces develop ahead of schedule, or if Booker becomes a legitimate All-Star, this team has a chance to be better than the Lakers and the Kings this season. But that’s going to take all the stars aligning, meaning Phoenix could realistically be a step away from being a step away.
NBA Pacific Division Prediction
There’s no need to overthink this one. Golden State is the favorite in the Pacific Division for a reason, and if you’ve seen how they’ve toyed with teams in the preseason, you know exactly what this group is capable of.
Only eight NBA games since 2004-05 have had point spreads of 20 points or higher. The Warriorshad two of them last season and are expected to have even more this year.
Again, don’t overthink this. The Warriors are favored by a mile for a reason.
