After leading for most of Game 1, the Raptors looked tired and nothing like the squad who hit the hardwood to open the series.
Conversely, the Bucks looked precisely like the team who has sailed through the postseason. Giannis Antetokounmpo played much closer to his freakish MVP self and the Milwaukee bench was a major factor in the win.
Now the teams head to Canada for the next two games with the Raptors in a must win scenario in both matches.
Milwaukee Bucks
Milwaukee clearly looked like the far superior team in Game 2 and was clicking on all cylinders. Giannis was at his MVP best producing 30 points, 17 rebounds, and 5 assists with almost half of his points scored at the line.
The Bucks perimeter shot which evaded almost everyone but Brook Lopez in Game 1 returned. Milwaukee forced turnovers and scored off them, won the battle of the glass and the Bucks reserves feasted on Toronto.

Ironically, Khris Middleton and Eric Bledsoe are the two Bucks who’ve failed to perform up to their standards through the two games.
The hero of Game 1 (Brook Lopez) was also handled in Game 2 going 0 for 4 from deep, but Malcolm Brogdon, George Hill, and Ersan Ilyasova stepped up to take over in Game 2.

With Mike Budenholzer able to go ten deep into his reserves (ironically named the bench mob which is what the Raptors called their bench crew last season) it makes it difficult for Nick Nurse to respond given his reserves aside from Ibaka and occasionally Powell aren’t producing.
Toronto Raptors
Through two games it’s clear two Raptors who factored largely in the wins against the Magic and 76ers aren’t ideally suited for this series.
Starters Marc Gasol and Danny Green have struggled plus Fred VanVleet is a shadow of himself. Green is especially concerning and hasn’t looked like his typical self on either end since late in the 76ers series which begs the question of whether he’s injured. Gasol is 3 of 20 and is a step slow against the Bucks defense.
Kawhi Leonard bounced back from what was (for him) a mediocre Game 1. Norman Powell delivered arguably his best overall playoff game which should equate to additional minutes in Game 3.

Siakam had his worst playoff outing and the wear and tear of being guarded by Joel Embiid and Jonathan Issac seem to have taken a toll.
NBA Betting Trends:
- Bucks are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 head to head contests.
- Bucks hold a 6-4 record in last 10 head to head meetings.
- The over-under is 6-4 in team’s last 10 head to head matchups.
Free Milwaukee Bucks vs. Toronto Raptors NBA Prediction:
The loss of OG Anunoby has played a much greater factor given the inability of the Raptors reserves to step up. Anunoby’s appendix surgery was April 11th, but he suffered complications which have kept him sidelined.
The likelihood of his return becomes greater the longer Toronto can extend this series which would bolster an already strong defense and serve to give both Leonard and Siakam rest periods.
Toronto lost a golden opportunity in Game 1 to steal home court and find themselves with their backs firmly against the wall. Still, Toronto won’t concede, not when the last game played on their court produced the greatest moment in franchise history.
4* Free NBA Playoff Betting Pick: Raptors ATS
The good news is Toronto has faced adversity this postseason responding with wins in three similar scenarios including the pivotal Games 4 and 7 of the 76ers series.
While the series is leaning heavily in Milwaukee’s favor the Raptors home record was 32-9 in season (one less win than the Bucks) and they have one extra home playoff loss.
The question is if Toronto can hold home court to draw even in the series how will the Bucks respond given they’ve yet to face any postseason adversity. Based on Leonard’s post game comments it would be safe to expect Kawhi, Lowry, and Siakam to show what they’re made of in Game 3.
