This game features a struggling Indiana team traveling to face the defending champs.
The Pacers are losers of 4 in a row, while Cleveland has won 5 of their last 6.
The teams have split the season series so far this year.
Indiana Pacers
The Pacers are in a slump heading into the All Star break, and what better way to turn it around than to defeat the defending champs on their home floor.

Paul George bounced back from a poor performance against the Bucks on Saturday night to get 27 points and rebounds against Kawhi Leonard and the Spurs. He also shot 4-7 from behind the arc, which he has struggled with recently.
In the loss last Wednesday to Cleveland George had 22 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. It wouldn’t surprise me to see the Cavs rest James the final game before the All Star break, but if they don’t expect another excellent one on one battle between 2 of the NBA’s best.
Jeff Teague put on an assist clinic against Kyrie Irving and the rest of the Cavs backcourt. He racked 14 dimes and also score 18 points in the loss.
Teague continues to be an excellent pickup by the Pacers, and will have no trouble distributing the ball to his teammates in this one. I expect him to score 16 points and dish out 11 assists.

Myles Turner put up good numbers against the Cavs front line in the meeting last week. He had 16 points and 7 rebounds while dealing with Tristan Thompson all night. With Kevin Love sidelined with surgery he will have no trouble getting touches down in the post.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Breaking news came out that Kevin Love will be undergoing knee surgery and will miss up to 6 weeks. He has played like the player he was in Minnesota, so losing him will hurt Cleveland as they get ready for the playoffs, but I don’t see it hurting them from grabbing the #1 seed in the East.
Will Kyrie and Lebron have to handle more of the scoring load with Love out? Not necessarily.
Lebron had 27 points, 12 assists and 5 rebounds Saturday night against the Nuggets, and in the last meeting with Indiana he put up 25 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds. It should be a great back and forth between James and Paul George, and Lebron will put up numbers similar to their last meeting.
Kyrie Irving has continued his scoring run, with 23 or more in 4 straight games, but his 3 point shooting has been inconsistent. Before the game against Oklahoma City last week he was just 4-26 from behind the arc in the previous 4 games.

If Irving can’t hit the three point shot it will make things harder for him to score as the Pacers front line will load the paint and force him to beat them with his jumper. I still expect Kyrie to get 20+ points but it won’t be an efficient shooting night.
The biggest surprise in last week’s win over Indiana was Kyle Korver putting up 29 points. The sharpshooter was 8-9 from behind the arc and will be counted on to do a lot of the heavy lifting from the 3 point line with Love out.
