This Thursday will see an Eastern Conference showdown as the Cleveland Cavaliers travel to the Palace to take on the Detroit Pistons. Both the Cavs and the Pistons are sure-fire playoff teams, and this game could be very meaningful for both.
The Cleveland Cavaliers have struggled over the last few days, losing back to back games. What makes it worse for LeBron is the fact that the losses came to his former team, the Miami Heat.
Cleveland still holds the number one spot in the East.
The Pistons, on the other hand, have won two games in a row, including a 109-95 beatdown of the Chicago Bulls on Monday.

This will be the second game of a back-to-back for them, as they take on the Pacers on Wednesday.
The Pistons are currently in 7th place in the Eastern Conference.
Cleveland Cavaliers
Things have not been perfect in The Land since the All Star break. The Cavs have been plagued by injury and inconsistent play from everyone not named LeBron and Kyrie.
Newly-signed Cavalier Andrew Bogut broke his leg within his first minute of game time for Cleveland. J.R. Smith is still battling a thumb injury, and Kyle Korver is also expected to miss this game.
Kevin Love is also still sidelined and likely to miss the rest of the regular season.
Cleveland has lost three of their last four games, including two straight to Miami on Saturday and Monday.
They are still the best team in the East, but they need to bounce back here to get things back on track.

The Cavaliers have the 3rd best scoring offense in the NBA, averaging 110.8 points per game. They rank 15th in rebounding with 43.7 and 15th in assists with 22.4 per contest.
The Cavs allow 106.5 points per game on defense, which ranks 22nd in the league.
LeBron leads the way for Cleveland with 26 points, 8.2 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. Kyrie Irving is averaging 25.1 points and 5.9 assists a night.
No other double-figure scorers will be healthy and on the court for this game.
Detroit Pistons
Detroit has been impressive as of late, winning two straight and three of their last four. They destroyed the 76ers in Philly 136-106 on Saturday and beat the Bulls at home 109-95 on Monday.
This will be the second night of a back-to-back for Detroit. They take on the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, a team that is right behind them in the Eastern Conference standings.
Two more wins could significantly improve their standing, and they should be on top of their game for both.
Detroit has not been one of the more electric scoring teams, averaging only 102.1 points per game which is 25th in the league. They rank 5th in rebounding with 44.9 and 22nd in assists with 21.2 per contest.
The Pistons continue to hang their hat on defense, allowing only 102.1 points per game which is 6th in the NBA.

Free Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Detroit Pistons NBA Prediction:
The Cavs have faced loads of difficulties as of late. But despite the injuries and inconsistencies, they are still the best team in the NBA, and they still have LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.
The Pistons have been playing well, but they will have another important game against the Pacers the night before. Two consecutive games against playoff teams may be too much for this young squad.
4* Free NBA Betting Pick: Cavs -4
They will not be able to keep up with the scoring of the Cavs and will likely fall behind (and stay behind) in the second half.
