Charlotte has battled all the way back to get within just 1 game of the break even mark and now the Bulls sit just 4 games above. Chicago will look to put an end to a modest 2 game losing streak while Charlotte tries to make it 2 in a row.
Chicago
Chicago regression is becoming a serious concern.
The Bulls have dropped 11 of 16 and now sit in 6th place in the Eastern Conference. Chicago was once considered the 2nd best in the East and everybody thought they would be battling with Cleveland for the top spot in the East. However, now they hope to just make the playoffs at this point.

Chicago is 2-4 on this current 7 game road trip and after their loss to Minnesota, things continue to look sketchy for them. Jimmy Butler went down in the loss to Denver on Friday and missed out on the loss to the Twolves. Butler is not expected to be back in the lineup on Monday either.
G Derrick Rose has also been extremely cold for the Bulls. Rose has gone just 1 of 14 from behind the arc over the last 8 games for Chicago. With Butler out, his performances certainly need to improve and quickly.
Charlotte
The Hornets come in off an impressive win over Washington on Saturday and will use this as a chance to get back to the .500 mark.
Charlotte had gone through a stretch that saw them lost 9 of 10, but since then they have really turned things around, thanks to the play of Nicolas Batum.
Batum put in 26 points, 11 rebounds, and added 9 assists as he fell one short of a triple double. The F missed 8 of 16 games in January, which was in the midst of their 9 out of 10 losses. He put in 21 on Friday against Miami that really set the tone for his performance on Saturday.
Cody Zeller has also played extremely well lately. Zeller has averaged 8 rebounds per game over the last 3 since he returned from a shoulder injury. He’s also been a force in the paint as well on defense, which has been important.
NBA Betting Trends:
- Bulls are 8-23 ATS in their last 31 vs. NBA Southeast.
- Bulls are 2-6 ATS in their last 8 vs. Eastern Conference.
- Bulls are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.
- Hornets are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 Monday games.
- Hornets are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game.
Free NBA Prediction:
The Bulls struggles have been a major red flag for them.
With Butler getting carted off on Friday, who knows how long he’ll be out for. If Chicago hopes to compete in the East they may need to add a piece.
For now, it’s on Rose to get things going or this team won’t succeed.
