In their last game the Bulls lost by over 30 points to the Houston Rockets. Conversely, Miami took down the Cavaliers by 19 points.
Last season, the Bulls won two of three, but through three games this season the Heat hold 2-1 edge. The Bulls hold the all-time record having bested the Heat in 58 of their 109 matches.
Chicago Bulls
The only starter to register double digit scoring versus the Houston Rockets was rookie Lauri Markkanen (22). Four reserves joined him as Denzel Valentine (12), Sean Kilpatrick (12), Bobby Portis (11) and Noah Vonleh (10) outplayed the starters.

The 32 point win differential punctuated a terrible game for the Bulls, particularly considering James Harden and Clint Capela were given the night off to rest.
Clearly the Bulls are only interested in competing for 36 minutes as it behooves Chicago to fall lower in the ratings to increase their draft pick. Of the seven lower ranked teams four have one less loss.

Cristiano Felicio (back) exited the game versus the Rockets with his status up in the air for Thursday. Paul Zipser (foot) missed the last game and is questionable Tuesday.
Players who are definitely ruled out Thursday are Antonio Blakeney (fractured wrist), Zach LaVine (knee tendinitis) and Kris Dunn (toe).
Miami Heat
If there was a player who knows LeBron James the best on and off the court it’s Dwyane Wade. While with Chicago last season Wade’s Bulls swept the Cavaliers. Miami (with Wade) also have great success versus LeBron’s Cavaliers with 15 consecutive victories on their home floor.
It will be a curious situation should the Heat end up aligning to play the Cavaliers in the first round (though they likely play one of the Raptors or Celtics).
Since the beak the Heat are 9-1 at home, averaging 116.3 points while shooting 50% and 40% respectively from the field and perimeter. Albeit, six of those opponents weren’t current playoff seeds. But, this prowess doesn’t translate to the road as in this same period they are 1-5 with the lone victory a one point win over the Lakers.

Bam Adebayo (ankle) missed the game versus Cleveland and remains questionable for Thursday. Hassan Whiteside (hip strain) missed the last eight games with a return date unknown. Dion Waiters (ankle) following surgery and will miss the remainder of the season.
