A quick rematch from the game last week has the Celtics eager for revenge after the Bulls controlled the game from start to finish.
The Bulls new “Big Three” of Rajon Rondo, Dwyane Wade, and Jimmy Butler has the Bulls off to a nice 3-0 start with their eyes on another road win after dominating the Nets on Monday night.
Chicago Bulls
The talent of this group was never in question but the potential chemistry issues as well as injury concerns raised doubts from the start.
While we are only three games in and there is plenty of time for those to develop, the Bulls look great out of the gate and could present a surprising threat in the Eastern Conference.

The trio of Rondo, Wade, and Butler seems to be gelling nicely with Rondo in complete control of the offense.
They are averaging a combined 43.4 ppg, 15.1 apg, and 15 rpg with none of the three playing more than 30 minutes per game thus far.
Wins by 17 and 30 in their last two games have helped relieve the workload but regardless, the play has been very good.
Using those three and an assortment of role players, the Bulls beat the Celtics last Thursday 105-99 in Chicago – sealed by a late three pointer by Wade in his return to his hometown of Chicago.
The Bulls dominated the offensive glass – holding a 18 to 3 advantage there – and assisted on 69 percent of their field goal makes to lead the way to a victory.

The addition of Rondo will be great for Fred Hoiberg’s offense and if the frontcourt plays like they did in first game against Boston, the Bulls will be difficult to slow down.
I wouldn’t expect a similar rebounding advantage though – as the Celtics are pretty deep down low.
However, the Bulls did shoot poorly in the last game so an improved shooting percentage could make up for any advantage they lose from last game on the glass.
Boston Celtics
The absence of Kelly Olynyk was certainly felt in the first game against the Bulls as they were dominated on the glass.
However, they have the bigs capable of fixing that rebounding issue with Al Horford, Amir Johnson, and Tyler Zeller all being typically strong rebounders.
The athleticism and talent in the Celtics backcourt has been on display thus far with Avery Bradley and Isaiah Thomas combining to average 46 ppg in their first three.
However, they are going to need to be better defensively to compete in the Eastern Conference and to slow down the Bulls.
While the Celtics were beat on the glass last game, the Bulls backcourt holds the talent on their roster. They shot poorly in last game but still picked up the victory.

So, the Celtics defense will have to be better as well as their rebounding – two places the Celtics were expected to hold advantages this season.
As long as the Bulls guards are gelling, the Celtics will have to shoot their way to a victory.
Thomas as the ability to get rolling but Rondo and Butler pose a great defensive threat.
