Atlanta Hawks
The Hawks played Miami real tough on Tuesday night in South Beach before getting crushed by the Heat in Atlanta on Wednesday.
Even with Dennis Schroder and Kent Bazemore out, Head Coach Mike Budenholzer isn’t stretching any of his young guys. John Collins and Taurean Prince are still playing just about 30 minutes a night, even as the focal points of the offense now.

Two guys have emerged down the stretch as feisty offensive players that are trying to play their way into an NBA rotation somewhere next year.
Tyler Dorsey was playing in the Final Four with Oregon last season along with Dillon Brooks and Jordan Bell. He’s looked good as a scorer lately for the Hawks.

Damion Lee has also looked nice as a 6’6″ point guard out of Louisville. He played 60 minutes in the two games against Miami and scored 31 points with 13 rebounds.
So while Atlanta has been losing a lot, it doesn’t look like it’s lacking energy. The Hawks are just undermanned and overmatched. But they will ruffle their feathers in these final few games.
Washington Wizards
Washington is in Cleveland tonight, which means it will return home for this game late on Thursday night or early Friday morning to play the second night of the back-to-back.
The Wiz are currently the 7-seed in the East, which is where a lot of people think they want to be. The only problem is that Milwaukee is tied with them and Washington would rather not have to go to Toronto in the first round. It would rather get a Kyrie Irving-less Boston team.

It’s also just half a game back of Miami in the 6-seed so Washington is going to bring it in this game, most likely. It probably won’t have any trouble winning.
John Wall has struggled to shoot the ball in his first two games back. He looked good in his first, fast and full of energy. Then he got a night off and looked less active against Houston, even a bit overmatched.
I’m not sure what to expect from him, but there is a chance he won’t play in this game at all, given the back-to-back and the travel in between, which can’t be good for his knee.
If he doesn’t play, the Wiz should be just fine. Tomas Satoransky sometimes looks like the better option anyway.
