NASCAR Sprint Cup- Coca-Cola 600 Preview and Prediction
Race: Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway
Date: Sunday, May 29
Time: 6 p.m. (ET)
Broadcast: FOX
Race time is set for 6 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on FOX.
The Sprint Cup series pulled into Charlotte two weeks ago in preparation for last Saturday night’s $1 million exhibition Sprint All-Star Race and Joey Logano took the checkered flag in that non-point event. Brad Keselowski finished second and Dale Earnhardt Jr. took third.

The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Sunday’s race at Charlotte based on betting odds provided by MyBookie.
NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 Odds: The Favorite (odd of less than 10/1)
The trio of Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Jimmie Johnson are all at the top of this week’s list to win at +600 betting odds, but I am leaning towards Harvick as my top valued pick.
Compared to last season after the first 12 point race events the No. 4 Chevrolet is a bit off the pace.
This team has one victory and four additional Top-5 finishes, but it has still been good enough to hold down the top spot in the current Sprint Cup standings with 418 total points.
The main reason I am going with Harvick in this race is a stellar track record at Charlotte over the past three seasons.
In six Sprint Cup point race events, he has finished no worse than ninth, including two victories and two second-place runs.
NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 Odds: The Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)
Moving down the list a bit you have last week’s winner at Charlotte sitting at +1000 betting odds to pull off the sweep.
Joey Logano is still looking for his first point-race win of the year after making his way to Victory Lane six times last year behind the wheel of the No. 22 Ford.
He has come close a few times with a trio of Top-5 runs, but he has also been in a bit of a slump lately with three-straight runs outside the top 20 the past few weeks.

While Saturday’s win is an encouraging sign, the fact that Logano won the second point race at Charlotte last season adds the most value to his odds.
NASCAR Coca-Cola 600 Odds: The Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)
I really like Chase Elliott at +1800 odds as this week’s top young gun to win, but stretching the odds even longer I am going with Kyle Larson at +2500 as this week’s top valued longshot.
In his last run in a point race behind the wheel of the No. 42 Chevrolet, Larson almost upset the field with a second-place finish at Dover. He was also in the mix earlier in the season at Martinsville with a third-place run.
Larson does not seem to have an in-between with six other runs outside the top 25, but that is what picking longshots is all about.
His best career finish at Charlotte was sixth in the second race here in 2014.
