Good Sam 500 Odds Betting
Gamblers…ready for NASCAR Good Sam 500 Odds betting? The early West Coast swing for NASCAR’s Sprint Cup series continues this week with its annual stop at Phoenix International Speedway for the running of the Good Sam 500 this Sunday afternoon.
NASCAR Sprint Cup – NASCAR Good Sam 500 Odds
Race: Good Sam 500 at Phoenix International Raceway
Date: Sunday, March 13
Time: 3:30 p.m. (ET)
Broadcast: FOX
Race time is set for 3:30 p.m. (ET) and it will be broadcast nationally on FOX.
I went chalk last week with Kevin Harvick as my top pick, but it was Brad Keselowski and the No. 2 car taking the checkered flag at Las Vegas. Two of the other top favorites to win that race were Joey Logano (2nd) and Jimmie Johnson (3rd) and they made good on a Top 3 bet in that race with strong runs.

The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Sunday’s race based on betting odds provided by MyBookie..
NASCAR Good Sam 500 Odds: The Favorite (odd of less than 10/1)
Kevin Harvick comes into this race as a heavy +300 favorite and the defending champ after winning this event last year, but I am going to stretch the odds a bit with Jimmie Johnson as my top valued favorite at +700 betting odds.

After posting a forgettable 16th-place finish at Daytona, the No. 48 car has returned to form with a victory at Atlanta to go along with last Sunday’s third-place run.
It also helps that Johnson has a strong track record at Phoenix with four Sprint Cup career victories here as part of an average finishing position of 7.7.
NASCAR Good Sam 500 Odds: The Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)
It is no secret that I have a tendency to go with Dale Earnhardt Jr. as a top-valued contender more times than I probably should, but I feel justified in this week’s play at +1200 odds.
He has been hit or miss through the first three events with a wreck at Daytona followed by strong second-place finish at Atlanta.
Last week at Las Vegas, the No. 88 car faded to eighth place after staying on the lead lap for most of that race. The last time NASCAR ran around this track in a Sprint Cup race, Dale Jr. was able to dash the title hopes of a few drivers with a victory in the second-to-last race of the season.
He has now placed fifth or better in four of his last six point races at this track.
NASCAR Good Sam 500 Odds: The Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)
I have been waiting for one of NASCAR’s young guns to shock the field with my early picks in the longshot category and this week I have set my sites on Austin Dillon at +2000 odds as my top pick.
This is his third full time season in the Sprint Cup series and he continue to show signs he can compete with the big boys by racing the No. 3 car to a ninth-place finish at Daytona and a promising fifth-place finish at Las Vegas last Sunday.
Dillon’s first four runs at Phoenix have been forgettable, but I banking on him making some noise on the lead lap this time around.
