There is hot and then there is Joey Logano hot after last week’s win at Talladega completed an improbable sweep of the three-race Contender Round in this year’s Chase.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. did everything he could to keep his Sprint Cup title hopes alive, but his second-place finish was not good enough to make the cut.
Jeff Gordon took third and that was good enough to land the veteran NASCAR driver into the field of eight for this round.
The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Sunday’s Sprint Cup race at Martinsville based on betting odds provided by TopBet.

The Favorite (odd of less than 10/1)
There is a group of five drivers listed at +600 betting odds to win on Sunday, but I am going to stretch things a bit with Kyle Busch as my top favorite at +700.
He has quietly gone about his business in this year’s Chase with a second place finish at Dover to advance past the opening round and a fifth-place finish at Kansas helped the No. 18 car squeeze into this round as the eighth and final team.
Busch has been a streaky driver this season that can get hot at any time and when it comes to Martinsville he has three Top 5 finishes in his last six runs in this event.
The Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)
Half the field left in the Chase have higher odds than +1000 to win on Sunday, but the one that caught my eye as a top contender was Brad Keselowski at +1200.
He is another driver that has been well under the radar in this season’s Chase and on the year the No. 2 car has made just one trip to the Winner’s Circle. The one reason that I like Keselowski at these odds is that he is a grinder that knows how to stay on the lead lap when the pressure is on.
He took a step in the right direction with a fourth-place finish last week and another plus is a second-place finish at Martinsville earlier this season.
The Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)
I am keeping it in the family this week with Kurt Busch as my top longshot to win at +2000.
Any Chase driver left in the mix would offer value at these odds and the No. 41 car has been able to work its way into the Top 10 in four of the first six races in this year’s playoffs.
It started things off with a third-place run at Chicago and a few weeks back this team took fifth at Charlotte.
Busch has struggled in his last two Sprint Cup runs at Martinsville with finishes outside the Top 10, but he did take the checkered flag in the first race on this track in 2014.
