The green flag for this year’s Bank of America 500 is set to wave at 7:30 p.m. (ET) and the race will be broadcast nationally on NBC.
Defending Sprint Cup Champion Kevin Harvick kept his 2015 title hopes alive with a victory last week at Dover.
Kyle Busch’s second-place run and Dale Earnhardt Jr’s. third-place finish at the Monster Mile created a spot for both of these drivers in the next round.
The following is a look at my top favorite, contender and longshot to win this Saturday night’s Sprint Cup race at Charlotte based on betting odds provided by TopBet.
The Favorite (odd of less than 10/1)
I went with Kevin Harvick last week at Dover as a +450 favorite and he paid off with a trip to Victory Lane.

While he is not facing elimination from the Chase on Saturday night like he was at the Monster Mile, I still like his chances to stay on a roll with a first-place finish again this week as a +350 favorite. The No. 4 car was in excellent position to win the week before at New Hampshire before a late-race gamble dropped the team to 21st.
You do not place in the Top 5 in 19 of 29 races without doing something right and this is the time of the year where Harvick is at his best.

It also helps that he comes in as the defending champion of this event, which proved to be the springboard to his 2014 title run.
The Contender (odds from 10/1 to 19/1)
There is no way you can go wrong with a play on Denny Hamlin to win this race as a +1000 contender. He has easily been the hottest driver in the Chase so far with a victory at Chicago followed by a second-place finish at New Hampshire.
The No. 11 car faded to 18th last week at Dover, but its place in this round was already in hand. Hamlin has never won a Sprint Cup race at Charlotte which helps explain the longer odds, but he has consistently been in the mix with nine Top 10 finishes in his last 10 Sprint Cup runs at this track.
The Longshot (odds 20/1 or greater)
Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been a forgotten man in this year’s Chase with long odds to win in the first three races. I went with him last week as my top valued longshot at +2500 and he almost pulled off a win. His betting odds to win this Saturday night are set at +2000 and I am going with him again.
This has still been one of the more consistent teams in the Sprint Cup series with 13 Top 5 finishes that includes victories at Talladega and Daytona.
Charlotte has not been one of Dale Jr’s favorite tracks over the course of his Sprint Cup career, but he did guide the No. 88 car to a third-place finish in the first race at this track this year.
