Minnesota Twins
After winning three in a row against Baltimore, the Minnesota Twins start a road series against the Houston Astros on Monday and will play again on Tuesday night. Tuesday, the Twins will send out Michael Pineda as the starter.
Pineda has had a strong start to his season, despite the slightly high ERA numbers. In four starts, he is 2-1 with a 5.30 ERA. However, he’s looked solid in 18.2 innings of work, recording 16 strikeouts and just three walks.

The Twins have started to find their groove, winning six of the last 10 games, including that series sweep over the Orioles. The offense has looked solid all throughout the batting order. Catcher Mitch Garver has come up huge for Minny recently. In 33 at-bats, he has five homers, 10 RBIs, and is batting a phenomenal .424.
At the bottom of the order, DH Nelson Cruz has also been great. 3 homers, 12 RBIs, and a .306 batting average — the veteran has come up huge in his 49 at-bats this year.
Houston Astros
After winning six in a row, the Houston Astros have lost three of their last four games, including two against the Rangers. On Tuesday, the Astros will start Wade Miley. Miley hasn’t been bad, but doesn’t have the record to show for it because of a lack of run support in his starts.
In 21.2 innings, he’s given up just eight earned runs and 22 hits. However, he’s not exactly dangerous from a strikeout standpoint, as he has just 11 on the season to go along with four walks. Miley can certainly pitch, but he’ll need better run support from his teammates if he’s going to start recording wins.

Speaking of run support, that’s been one of Houston’s strengths for most of the year. CF Jake Marsinick has been impressive in the early goings of his year. In 35 at-bats, he has 11 hits, two RBIs, and is batting .314.

Free Minnesota Twins vs. Houston Astros MLB Prediction:
Despite Pineda being the stronger starting pitcher, I think Houston is the better team. The entire batting order can regularly get on base, and that should lead to some run support for Wade Miley. The Astros win this one at home.
4* Free MLB Betting Pick: UNDER 9
Both teams are sending out strong starting pitchers, ones who don’t give up a lot of earned runs. I think Houston will win this game, but it’ll stay pretty low-scoring on both sides. Take the Under here.
