Los Angeles Dodgers

A second win and a second shutout for the Dodgers as Clayton Kershaw delivered his best playoff outing ever. Eight inning of shutout baseball, throwing only 85 pitches to do it, impressive.

Manny Machado has had success against Anibal Sanchez in the past so it was not a surprise that he took him deep in this one. The Dodgers are looking very good and are on the brink of sweping the youing Braves right out of the playoffs.

Walker Buehler has been tremendous this season. He put up great numbers during the regular season and proved in the tie breaking game he is not going to shy from the moment with 6 shutout innings giving up just one hit.

He made just on start against Atlanta this season yielding little over 5 innings a few months back. The way the rest of the team has been pitching anything less than a shutout will be a disappointment.

Atlanta Braves

Gettin down 0-2 on the road is never a good way to start but not scorig in either game is not a good look. The only bright spot you can really find is that Ronald Acuna, the phenom got a couple of hits.

The team only managed one other so clearly the offense needs to improve. Obviously they were taking on one of the great pitchers in the game and that didn’t help matters but at the same time I don’t know what this group can do top spark some offense.

Kevin Gausman was a nice get for the Braves this season. It was only 10 starts with Atlanta but they were probably the best run of starts he has had since he joined the Majors with Baltimore – posting a 2.87 ERA.

He was 3-0 at Sun Trust Park this season but did not face L.A. They need him to be a stopper and extend the series and he has enough talent to do so.

He has not pitched in week though and might be pumped so early wildness is a concern.
