Cleveland was rocking for Game 1 and the Tribe fed off the crowd to secure a 1-0 lead.
Now, it’s ace versus ace as Boston looks to even things up with a matinee edition of the ALDS on Friday.
Boston Red Sox
The Red Sox didn’t waste any time starting drama.
Pitching Coach Carl Willis accused the Indians of stealing signs in the Game 1 loss looking to fluster the Indians in anyway possible.
He may not need to do that with Price on the mound here Friday, but the Red Sox will look to respond offensively after it was the big guys in the lineup that got shut down on Thursday.
Boston raced out to a first and third, nobody out situation in the Top of the 1st on Thursday, but it took a 2 out Hanley Ramirez hit to get Boston on the board. A challenge erased the second run scoring at home plate, which impacted the game in a huge way.

The Red Sox took a 2-1 lead, but that was the last time they held it as Cleveland took control and the bullpen did just enough to shut them down.
David Price takes the ball here, looking to build off his 8-1 record over his last 11 starts of the season.
Price allowed just 2 runs back on Opening Day in Cleveland, earning the win over Kluber.
Cleveland Indians
Cleveland has been the team that nobody has given a chance.
The Indians went all in during Game 1, removing Bauer after 4.2 innings of work and going to Andrew Miller, Bryan Shaw, and Cody Allen for the rest of the game. The Big 3 was really burned out when it comes to pitch count, but don’t tell them that.
Cody Allen was first to say he was ready and available on Friday, after throwing nearly 40 pitches in a 5 out save Thursday.

Looking to help the pen out, ace Corey Kluber gets the ball to oppose Price.
Kluber went 9-1 following the All Star break, with an ERA of 2.52 in 14 starts.
He was pushed back to Game 2 after feeling tightness in the groin area in his final start in Detroit. Kluber says he’s at 100% and ready to go here.
