Joakim had one save last season. He carried a 3.70 ERA, and is going to be given the job to close. He is unproven, so things might be ugly for him this year.
If the White Sox can get strong games from their starting rotation, hopefully the bullpen will be able to deliver. If the teams bullpen is anything like last season, things could get ugly in Chicago this year.
2018 Chicago White Sox Prediction:
Don’t get your hopes too high this season. Chicago is still a young and unproven team, with a ton of questions to be answered all over the field. Jose Abreu is the only guy on the roster that had made a name for himself. All the other players on the roster are considered new.
On the other side of it, the Whits Sox could be one of the biggest surprises of the year. If Chicago’s roster can stay healthy, and play well, the team won’t be the laughing stock of the majors.
Even if the White Sox offense is much improved, the team is still going to need help from their starting rotation, The staff is suspect again this year.
