Milwaukee has done kind of what divisional foe Cincinnati has done.
The Brewers have shipped away a lot of key pieces and in returned gained a lot of younger players back that could build this team down the road.
However, they still have some talent left. Not only will the veterans help this younger guys out, but the mixture of the two could ignite a magical run for them. Granted, everything must go right this year for that to happen.

Key Additions
Rymer Liriano, Chris Carter, Garin Cecchini, Will Middlebrooks, Jonathan Villar, Keon Broxton, Kirk Nieuwenhuis, Aaron Hill
When you either trade a lot of your players away or let them walk, there is a lot that needs to be done.
Milwaukee’s signings aren’t any flashy ones or going make monumental changes to this team. However, they did fill in the necessary parts and did pick up some talent with it.
Chris Carter offers a chance to grab a right handed bat that can really be useful in the middle of this lineup. Aaron Hill and Will Middlebrooks offer a lot of versatility for this Milwaukee team as they can bat anywhere in the lineup and really provide a spark.
Key Losses
Khris Davis, Adam Lind, Francisco Rodriguez, Jean Segura
Milwaukee started to ship their high veterans away as they knew they could get prospects in return and set themselves up for the futre.

However, the loss of Khris Davis and Adam Lind will really hurt this lineup. The two were middle of the lineup guys that could really change the game with one swing of the bat.
Davis slugged over .500 last year and Lind was one of the best homerun hitters for this team.
2016 Brewers Predictions – Projected Lineup
- Scooter Gennett
- Jonathan Lucroy
- Ryan Braun
- Chris Carter
- Domingo Santana
- Aaron Hill
- Jonathan Villar
- Keon Broxton
Here is where it gets interesting for the Brewers. Their lineup actually isn’t that bad.
Jonathan Lucroy, Ryan Braun and Chris Carter all provide punch and have proven themselves.
After the whole steroid incident with Braun, the Brewers have forgave him and he is one of the best power hitters in the division.
Also don’t forget either, this team is willing to part ways with veterans. These three could be having mere auditions early in the season and be shipped away for more prospects during the deadline.
2016 Brewers Predictions – Projected Rotation
- Wily Peralta
- Jimmy Nelson
- Matt Garza
- Taylor Jungmann
- Chase Anderson
Here is where the Brewers could endure a major downfall.
Milwaukee’s rotation is right there at the bottom of the division and when you have to deal with Chicago, Pittsburg, and St. Louis 19 times each, this could get ugly.

Not one of these pitchers will overpower someone and they’ve all showed signs of inconsistencies throughout their careers.
2016 Brewers Predictions – Projected Bullpen
1. Michael Blazek
2. Tyler Thornburg.
3. Jeremy Jeffress
Like the starting rotation, the bullpen is just as sketchy.
Will Smith was projected to be the closer for this team, but an LCL tear will have him sidelined.
The closer role still isn’t determined, nor is the rest of the bullpen for that matter. Combine a questionable bullpen with a questionable staff and this Brewers team could be in store for a lot of runs against them.
2016 Brewers Predictions
Milwaukee has a lot of potential when it comes to their offense.
Ryan Braun in the middle of the lineup could be a solid spark for them. However, the pitching is a different story.
There is just too much to deal with in terms of question marks and with such an unproven staff, things could get ugly in one of the toughest divisions in baseball for Milwaukee.
Expect this team to ship away some veterans this season and continue to grow their youth and set themselves up for the future.
