No offense to the Youngstown State Penguins but in this matchup against West Virginia the Penguins are just about as intimidating as their mascot.
Especially with the Mountaineers looking to earn the respect of their peers in conference and nationally, West Virginia will roll in this one even with QB Skyler Howard nursing some strained ribs.

Look for this one to end relatively quick and see the Mountaineers coast to a win. 56-17.
Youngstown State Penguins
There isn’t much to say about the Penguins, and West Virginia is doing well at not downplaying their opponent. Still, Youngstown State doesn’t have a shot in this game, even with their No. 20 ranking in the FCS Poll.

If the Penguins are to put up any fight at all it will be offensively as QB Ricky Davis looked impressive in their opener. And though they have given FBS teams some trouble in the past, West Virginia will be able to roll at home.
West Virginia Mountaineers
QB Skylar Howard may be nursing a slight injury but the Mountaineers looked ready to surprise all their doubters in a week one victory over Missouri.
Howard threw for 253 yards on 23 of 35 passing while Justin Crawford rushed for 101 yards and a TD on 21 carries with Rushel Shell also carrying the rock well for 90 yards and a TD on 16 carries.
Though they may be an underdog in the Big-12 this year, a confident start to the season will work wonders towards giving them a boost before true Big-12 action.
FBS teams didn’t fare too well against FCS opponents last week, with three FCS upsets in Week 1.
Youngstown State has fared relatively well against FBS opponents, beating Pitt 31-17 in 2012 and almost outdueling them in a shootout last season in a 45-37 loss.

West Virginia was picked to finish 7th in the Big-12 with the likes of Iowa State and Kansas below them.
Free Week 2 NCAA Football Prediction
Youngstown State may have given FBS opponents a rough go of it in past seasons but this one shouldn’t be much of a contest for the Mountaineers at home. Look for a big win by West Virginia.
