The Vanderbilt Commodores will head to Columbia this Saturday to take on the Missouri Tigers in an SEC East battle.
Both teams need this win to improve their unlikely chances in a division that is still up for grabs.

The Commodores have been up and down this year, but they have had some bright spots.
They played at #9 Auburn Tigers very well last week, although they lost in the end 23-17. The Tigers have had very few spots this year, particularly lately.
They have dropped five games in a row, including last week at South Carolina 31-21.
Vanderbilt Commodores
In the first half of the season, it looked as though it would be another typical Vandy year in 2016.
However, they continued to improve every week and played well against very tough competition in the SEC.
They have now won two of their last three, including a shocking 17-16 win three weeks ago at Georgia that shook up the entire division.
Although they are currently 6th in the East, they still have an outside shot of winning the division if everything goes their way.

Derek Mason’s defense has been very good this year.
It has won games for them and kept them close even in the losses. In their last five games, they have allowed 23, 16, 16, 20 and 13 points. In this era of high-scoring college football games, that truly is a remarkable run.
The offense has been bad– averaging 20.2 points per game (119th) and 312.2 yards per game (125th)– but they will not need to score much to win this one.
Missouri Tigers
The Tigers have had a very disappointing season in 2016.
They have yet to win an SEC game and are in last place in the conference. This is a big shift from the past, where Missouri was competing for the SEC East and Vanderbilt was at the bottom.
They have lost their last five games, all but one by more than one score.

The Tigers have been solid on offense, averaging 487.3 yards per game (25th) and 295.9 passing yards per game (22nd).
However, on defense, the Tigers have been horrible, allowing 469.1 yards per game overall and 231.4 rushing yards per game (112th).
Quarterback Drew Lock is having a solid season, completing 54.3 percent of his passes with 2,517 yards with 19 touchdowns and eight picks.

Free Week 11 NCAA Football Prediction
Although winning the division is highly unlikely, the Commodores still have a lot to play for in this one.
They are still two games away from bowl eligibility and need this one to keep the hopes alive.
After this week, they have two very tough opponents left in Ole Miss and Tennessee. Their defense has held superior opponents to low scores, and they should be able to keep down the one-dimensional Missouri offense.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 52.5
Missouri has just been bad this year, and there is little reason to believe they will turn it around here.
Historically, they have handled Vandy well, but this is a different team with a different coach. If they can get they can get the running game going enough to keep the defense honest, they do have a shot.
They could very well pull out a victory at home, but Vandy has more to play for and is playing very well lately.
