We have reached week two of the college football season and everyone has a game under their belt.
In this game it’s an all Texas showdown when the UTEP Miners make the trip to Jones AT&T Stadium in Lubbock to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders.
UTEP Miners
The UTEP Miners have to be really concerned about what they saw in their first game of the year against the Houston Baptist Huskies.
[dfads params=’groups=220&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
The Huskies are expected to be terrible, and the Miners still could barely get the job done, winning the game 36-34.
The offense was good putting up 526 yards and it was a balanced attack on the ground and the air. Quarterback Brandon Jones looked good throwing for 268 yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
The problem for the team was on the defensive side of the ball. They gave up 34 points and 413 yards. They now have to go against Texas Tech, and the defense is going to need to be better if they want any chance to come out with a victory in this game.
Chances are this game is going to be a shootout, so it’s going to be key they hold them to field goals instead of touchdowns.

Texas Tech Red Raiders
On the other side of this matchup is the Texas Tech Red Raiders who started off the season against Montana State, and they did exactly what they were expected to do, blew them out.
This is a team that is still all about the offense, and it didn’t disappoint in game one putting up 45 points, and they could have had more.
Quarterback Alan Bowman is back and healthy and he threw for 436 yards, two touchdowns, and zero interceptions. In this game I would look for another big game for him.
On the defensive side is where there are still question marks surronding this team. They only gave up ten points in game one, but it was Montana State so we really didn’t learn much.
They are facing a little better offense in this game, but if this is a “test” for the Red Raiders that spells bad things for the defense.

Free Week 2 NCAA Football Pick
The Red Raiders are the better team, and this game is going to get ugly early because Bowman is going to run up the score.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Texas Tech -34 / Lean OVER
I think the Red Raiders defense is going to struggle a little more than they did in week one, but they should have no issue winning in this game.
Back the Red Raiders to win this game and cover the spread. There is no total released yet, but It’s a lean to the over if the number is decent.
