The Utah State Aggies offense is clicking on all cylinders as they ride a 5-game win streak into Laramie this weekend. One of the keys to their success this season has been staying healthy, and not one Aggies player appears on the injury report.

The Cowboys have lost five of six games this year, as their sputtering offense continues to struggle. When Josh Allen left for the NFL, many thought that Wyoming would have enough talent left over to compete, but we are slowly finding out that is not the case.
Utah State Aggies
The Aggies came two yards shy of putting up 600 total yards last weekend against UNLV at home.
There is no sophomore slump for QB Jordan Love, and he is only becoming more efficient as the season rolls on. Love only had 6 incompletions in the Aggies 59 – 28 trouncing of the Rebels last weekend. With a near perfect QB rating, Love was 17 for 23 with 322 passing yards to go along with 5 TD passes.
Love connected with 12 different receivers in the win, while Jalen Greene accumulated 132 receiving yards for one score. Senior wideout Ron’Quavion Tarver caught two TDs while only taking in 4 balls for 52 yards. The flighty 6′ 4″ receiver can definitely handle one-on-one opportunities in the end zone against smaller DBs.
Greene (22-312-3) and Tarver (29-298-4) lead the team in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns this season.

The ground game is in good hands with both Darwin Thompson and Gerold Bright getting the bulk of the carries this year. The two have combined for 121 carries, 847 yards and 11 scores on the ground.
Keep an eye out for #82 when you’re watching this game on Saturday. Freshman Savon Scarver is slowly getting integrated into the passing game, but he can fly and is returning kicks too. He’s already broken off a 100-yard kickoff return this year, and will be quite an asset for offensive coordinator David Yost.
Wyoming Cowboys
The Wyoming Cowboys are off to a horrible start to the 2018 campaign, and have covered just 1 of 7 games this season. After a 29 – 7 opening day win over New Mexico State, the Cowboys have failed to score more than 19 points in their last 6 outings.
The Cowboys’ only win over their last 6 games came against Wofford, 17 – 14, and Wyoming was listed as 15-point favorites at home.
If you recall, Wyoming were actually among the worst offensive teams in all of NCAA football last year. Yes, Josh Allen led them to wins, but Wyoming were ranked outside of the top-100 in almost every offensive category a season ago. Things haven’t changed much, and Wyoming is again struggling to move the ball consistently.
Freshman Tyler Vander Waal had a ton of trouble moving the ball against Fresno State last weekend in their 27 – 3 loss. One field goal was all the offense could produce, and Vander Waal only had 117 passing yards in the loss. Completing 26% of your passes usually doesn’t lead to many good things, and the 1 interception sure didn’t help matters.

When Wyoming’s season started with their nice win over New Mexico State, many thought that Wyoming would be okay without Josh Allen after all. That has since changed, and Tyler Vander Waal needs to figure out this offense before bowl eligibility becomes a non-issue.
Another loss for the Cowboys would slide them to 2 – 6, leaving the reality of having to go 4 – 0 to finish out the year.

I hope you enjoyed my 4* First Half play on Utah State over UNLV last weekend. The Aggies came out hungry as I suspected they would, and were up big by the half.
I stay in that direction and offer the same prop for this game, with a better line than we had last weekend. Utah State was -13 1st Half against UNLV, and they will be -9 against Wyoming. The Aggies will be up double-digits again going to the locker room, so enjoy it again with me.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Utah State is favored at -15 with a 52 attached to the total. Free ATS or O/U final score pick provided below!
