With only betting implications really having any effect on this one, the UL Monroe Warhawks take on the Texas State Bobcats on Thursday night.
The Bobcats and Warhawks have a combined 3 wins and 16 losses in matchup that will feature two of the nation’s worst teams.

UL Monroe brings in an ATS record of 3-6-1, while the Bobcats are only 2-7 ATS.
UL Monroe
The Warhawks have been one of the worst teams offensively in the nation and that has been the major reasoning for having just 1 win on the season.
UL Monroe sits at 121 in the nation with just 318.1 yards overall. They pass for 214.7 while they run for only 103.4 yards per game.
With this horrific offense, the Warhawks average just 20.2 points per game.

Those numbers get increasingly worse on the road. Averaging only 14.8 points per road contest, UL Monroe is 0-6 SU.
The Warhawks are led by QB Garrett Smith, who actually hasn’t played as bad as the numbers indicate for them. Smith has thrown for 2033 yards to go along with 17 touchdowns. He’s also thrown for 11 interceptions though, which has been a major downfall for them and their offense.
Texas State
The numbers for Texas State get a little better. Overall, they sit at 50th in total offense with 420.2 yards per game on the season.
The offense is nearly completely balanced as they run for 193.9 yards per game and pass for 226.3. Their pass game is led by QB Tyler Jones.
[dfads params=’groups=219&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
Jones has thrown for 1900 yards, but his touchdown to interception ratio has been a killer for this Texas State team. Jones has 10 touchdowns to 8 interceptions this year. His interceptions have always seemed to come at the wrong time, whether it be a long drive or the Bobcats being deep in their own territory.
On the running side of this balanced offense, Robert Lowe has put up pretty decent numbers. Lowe has 805 yards on 147 attempts to go along with 16 receptions for 136 yards.
Overall, Lowe has 10 touchdowns combined on the season. Lowe has rushed for 88 yards in both of the Bobcats last 2 games.

If you don’t have any money on this, I wouldn’t recommend watching this one. Two bad teams who have nothing to play for take the field here. However, there is always value to be found and here, it is with Texas State

Laying the points is the way to go here. The Bobcats are at least at home and have proven to be the better of the 2 teams on both sides of the ball.
