This non-conference college football game comes off of both teams winning in their first weeks of the season.
The visiting Golden Hurricane of Tulsa come in off a big time win against San Jose State.
The Ohio State Buckeyes come off of multiple record breaking performances in a big time win against Bowling Green.
Tulsa Golden Hurricane
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane offense was very efficient in the big time win. They offense at a total threw up 207 yards passing and 305 yards on the ground.
[dfads params=’groups=220&limit=1&return_javascript=1′]
The offense was led by running back D’Angelo Brewer on the game where he had a big time opening game.
Brewer toted the ball 22 times for a big time 164 yards and found the endzone 3 times Saturday. Dane Evans the quarterback controlled the ball well in the win.
Evans was 12-23 for 198 yards and threw 1 touchdown. He will look to become more accurate against the strong Buckeye’s defense. Keevan Lucas led all receivers with 6 catches for 112 yards.
The Golden Hurricane offense will have their hands full with a Buckeye’s defense that only gave up 3 points last week.

The Tulsa defense looked good in the opening week of the season. They were tough against the run where they gave up only 53 rushing yards and gave up 234 through the air.
The defense was led by Frank Ginda who had a huge game. Ginda had 14 tackles in the game which included two sacks in the season debut. Maurice McKnight had 9 tackles in the game.
The Tulsa defense looked really good while only giving up 10 points in the game, but they failed to have a takeaway in the blowout win.
They will look to contain this electric Ohio State offense.
Ohio State Buckeyes
The Ohio State offense had an absolute field day in their big time win against Bowling Green. The Buckeyes had 417 yards through the air, and having 359 yards on the ground while throwing up 77 points in the game.
The Buckeyes were led by Heisman candidate J.T. Barrett. Barrett was 21-31 in the game for 349 yards and SIX touchdowns, he also ran for a touchdown in the game to set the Ohio State record for most touchdowns accounted for.
Mike Weber looked good in his first ever start as a Buckeye. Weber ran the ball 19 times for 136 yards in the limited time he played. Curtis Samuel was the star in the receiving and rushing game for the Bucks.
Samuel carried the ball 13 times for 84 yards and a touchdown while catching 9 passes for 177 yards and 2 touchdowns. This Buckeye’s offense will look to stay hot this week against Tulsa.

The Ohio State defense looked very good in their opening contest, only giving up a lone field goal from their unit. They were led overall by Malik Hooker who made his first start for the defense.
Hooker tallied 4 tackles and had two interceptions, which included the jumping, juggling interception he had. Rodjay Burns, a true freshman for the Bucks, was able to find the endzone after an interception he returned 75 yards.
The defensive line will look to finding another identity after losing Tracy Sprinkle to a knee injury.

Free Week 1 NCAA Football Prediction
Ohio State is coming off of a big win against Bowling Green in which they were finally able to cover a spread. I look for them to come out with just as much firepower on both sides of the field on Saturday.
The Buckeyes defense only gave up 69 rushing yards which was Tulsa’s bread and butter in week 1.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: UNDER 72.5
Tulsa gave up 234 yards through the air, and I see Barrett and co. to be able to pass that up for much more again on Saturday.
Look for the Buckeye’s to stay dominant in week 2, but they might pull the starters earlier because they are heading to Oklahoma the week after.
Regardless, I see the Buckeye’s taking this one easy with the backups.
