Both of these squads are hoping to qualify for a bowl game. The winner of this game will be in great shape and hte loser not so much.
Tennessee is stronger on the defensive side of the ball this season and that usually travels well.

All of Kentucky’s wins have come at home but that line shows this one could go either way.
Tennessee Volunteers
Tennessee stepped out of conference and got an easy win against UAB last week. Still, that makes two in a row and three of four for a program desperate for positivity.
They have yet to win on the road this season and the stats look bad but those losses were against Florida and Alabama.
Offense has been a struggle all season long. Even after 41 points against South Carolina and 3 last week they are only averaging 25ppg. They are 105th in the nation in yards gained. That is ugly for an SEC team.
The defense is good though, ranked in the top fifty in most key metrics. They should be able to have some success against Kentucky.

This one might come down to desire. There does not appear to be a lot of advantages either way. Can Tennessee fight for a win when they really need it?
Kentucky Wildcats
The Wildcats won 10 games last year but that is not going to happen this season. They have a good shot at a bowl if they can get this one given they also have a game against FCS Tennessee-Martin in a few weeks. There are no gimmes for UK though.
Last year they had a dominating defense and they have not fallen far from that, giving up just 21ppg.
The problem is the offense. Terry Wilson got hurt early and now his replacement, Sawyer Smith, is questionable too. Even with Wilson it was going to be a struggle. They ran the ball a ton against Mizzou and it worked but will that strategy be viable a second week in a row?
If they can shorten the game by running the ball they have a shot. The total is so low on this one but it might not be low enough given Kentucky’s offensive challenges.
NCAA Football Handicapping Trends

Free Week 11 NCAA Football Pick
This is a really tough call in terms of the side but the total is appealing…under. I just don’t see either offense finding any kind of rhythm.
4* Free NCAA Betting Pick: Under 42
If you are following me you know I do not bet a lot of unders but I just can’t picture sustained offensive success from either side. The only way this goes over is with some special teams and/or defensive scores.
If both teams are playing to not make mistakes that just doesn’t seem that likely. I am not sure either team breaks 20 in this one. Betting they won’t.
