TCU showed a lot of grit and heart in their come from behind win over Kansas State last week.
They’ll now get a chance to continue their pursuit of a BCS Playoff spot when they travel to Ames, to take on Iowa State.

The Cyclones come in off very discouraging loss to Texas Tech. The Red Raiders passed all over them and they’ll have an even harder time this week with a much better offense.
TCU
The Horned Frogs have had some extreme close calls this season, but they continue to find ways to get the job done.
TCU was nearly upset once against last Saturday, but used a late 4th quarter touchdown to complete the comeback as they knocked off Kansas State in a shootout.

QB Trevone Boykin continues to put up Heisman numbers and is really solidifying his spot at the top of the standings. Boykin has thrown for 2103 yards and 21 touchdowns on the season and continues to pick apart defenses with both his arm and legs.
With Boykin’s success, comes Josh Doctson’s success. The receiver ranks second in receiving yards, with 877, touchdowns, with 10, and is 3rd in receptions with 50.
Although TCU has been one of the best team’s in the nation, they hold just a 2-4 ATS record on the season.
Iowa State
The Cyclones come in stumbling into this match up as they’ve dropped 3 of 4, which includes a 66-31 beat down from the Texas Tech Red Raiders last week.
Iowa State is struggling to get stops on defense and things won’t be any easier this week as they face a team that is averaging 51.0 points per game and 615.5 yards a game.

The Cyclones are led by Mike Warren, who has rushed for 574 yards this season and is averaging over 8 yards per rush. Warren rumbled for 245 yards last week against the Red Raiders.
QB Sam Richardson has had a mediocre this season as he continues to struggle with taking care of the ball. Richardson has thrown for 1157 yards, but has tossed just 8 touchdowns to 6 interceptions.
The Cyclones defense has been much better at home as they’re allowing just 17 points a game this year.
